And I know first hand that it's not all rainbows and unicorns. Try explaining to an enraged father why you can return his son's Xbox 360 because it's still under a three-year warranty with Microsoft. I've seriously thought I was going to get decked in the face a few times. It's not always a breeze, but it definitely has it perks, too.
I'm almost in tears over what Maddens said. Ain't that the truth, buddy?
Ah, you work at EB Games, do you? That explains a lot....
Funny thing is, joke's on you. Warhawk is actually a lot of fun, despite what a six-dollar publication has to say. Too bad you won't get to play it -- you know, not having a PS3 and all.
You make an interesting point. I DO wonder who the reviewer played with. Because while the game can be fun for LAN parties if you have 12-16 people or so, the game doesn't truly shine until you're knee deep in a war of 32 players, both on land and in the sky.
Incognito has stated that they weren't happy with their bot AI, and didn't have time to revamp everything before the release date that had been set. That was their main reason for scrapping single player as well. It's understandable, too. Game developers aren't gods. The levels in Warhawk are MASSIVE. Dylan Jobe (hope I'm spelling that right) stated in a podcast that they just couldn't get the AI smart enough, and that the bots would spend too much time fooling around to become any sort of ch...
...is definitely more fun than a 6.5! Sure, granted I'd like to see about five more world maps and a few more vehicles, but the developers have already promised LOADS of downloadable content. I've said it a million times: this game isn't really unique, spectacular, or revolutionary, but it's DAMN FUN! And heck, coming bundled with a $45 headset doesn't hurt, either!
Just a couple more weeks and I'll FINALLY get my hands on this gorgeous game!
Assuming it doesn't get pushed back to 2012....
I really hope we can get a confirmation soon about what's headed to NA PS Stores this Thursday. I've been dying to try out Folklore (I just don't like downloading stuff from other Stores).
Sony is largely responsible for the development of Blu-ray technology (if not entirely responsible), so yes, BDs are all Sony products.
...by not using all CAPS!
I can envision him plunging a katana into his stomach.
Or maybe the ol' Old Snake gun-in-the-mouth approach.
I got to watch the first hour of Corruption before GamesRadar had to take it offline, and at various points in the game, such as after completing an objective or after scanning something, a message such as "Objective Completed" would flash on the HUD, along with a colored Screw Attack symbol. It's probably the case that these are "game specific," though, similar to way "achievements" on PS3 are at the moment -- Rainbow Six Vegas, for example.
I'm really hoping this shows up on the PS3, even if I have to wait a few months! Can't wait to play Ninja Gaiden on my DS, either!
A small one, though. There's slightly more polygons in the Wii game and the textures are more complex. HOWEVER, I'm seriously wondering if the GameCube would be just as capable as delivering the same graphics as Brawl does on the Wii. Sometimes it takes developers a few tries to get character models looking their best. A great example is Jak & Daxter compared to Jak II -- same consoles, HUGE difference in polygons and details.
Uhh, not... really... that... funny....
Nintendo Power's not quite as biased as everyone thinks. I believe they gave Mario Strikers Charged around a 7.5, which is on par with what GameSpot gave it, if I remember correctly. So at least that goes to say that even a game with Mario's name slapped on it doesn't automatically get better treatment. And as far as the "no game deserves a 10/10" comment goes, I disagree. What I believe is that no game is "PERFECT," but a 10/10 means that the game was "all it could b...
Around 360 launch, Microsoft showed off a bunch of different faceplates and boasted about how great it would be to have tons of different varieties to choose from... but look where we are now. Where the hell are all the awesome faceplates? Sure, this BioShock one is pretty damn cool, but they made it a limited edition! Grr! And what is the average consumer left with? Gears of War and Halo 2 faceplates? Please!
Don't forget about that Jabra BT125 headset bundled with the retail version. The headset generally retails for $45 USD alone, so it's a pretty good bargain.
Man, and for a moment there I thought MGS4 was going to be 100% normal (minus the giant mooing robots). This game couldn't possibly come soon enough!
