Hmm. Not worth the money if you want it as a gaming console. Especially since it makes awkward fart noises while you play the copycat according to the writer. Gotta admit. That's kinda funny.
"back in the 90s, PC gaming wasn't even existent til later on, for the most part it was console gaming that brought M rated games made it ok for adults to be gamers as well."
Doom was released in 93 and was estimated to be on 10 million computers since it was originally a shareware. So yeah. PC gaming actually existed!
"It was still known as a kids thing, & games such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, & other very mature rated games h...
Agreed, but it is pretty telling how many people jumped out of the woodwork to challange this article's merits.
Okay. I've watched this thread explode over this person's opinion but I'd like to pitch in on a couple of points that you've made.
1. Agreed, but games have been made for adults for years on PC before Sony came along.
2. Sales matter. Here are two links that show the amount of software that is being shifted for each respective console in Japan.

Shame is for the weak!
Activision trying to nickel and dime their customers?!
Business as usual I guess.

I've never had a PS2 breakdown within 3 months of playing it unlike my 360 which broke down 5 times on me. I actually still have my PS2 and I've yet to have an issue with it. While I'm not denying that there have been problems with PS2 hardware breaking down, it hasn't affected me personally and I am unaware of peripheral flops unless you're talking about the PS2 Keyboard/Mouse or the modem attachment maybe? They've got plenty of accessories that became a success like ...
Quote from the article: "It appears that history is trying to repeat itself. By no means am I a fan boy of Microsoft, but the Xbox 360 is my favorite console this generation and I think it’s one of the best consoles ever."
Considering that Microsoft knew that the console that they launched with had severe hardware issues which caused a third of their consoles breaking within the first year, a Kinect sensor that doesn't work as advertised, HD-DVD add-on flop, I t...
If Tekken Tag allows the same amount of customization as what is available for Soul Caliber 5; then you can expect plenty of partial nudity, sexual themes and ginormous phalluses.
Right. I don't believe there is anything wrong with people taking up gaming at all. Sure they may have never been here from the beginning but gamers should embrace the fact that new people are taking up their hobby.
It's not the systems' that are at fault as they are all adequate at what they do. It's the excessive budgets that are needed to make AAA games or even just a mid-tier game that is killing the industry. It should be far cheaper by now to develop for new games with all the various middlewares that are available and the fact that you can outsource your development and spread your costs over numerous different companies.

I don't see a problem with this. Gaming is reaching new people who may never have previously been aware of it. What's the problem exactly?
I think it goes further than that because each person who plays it gets a different experience from it. I played it, completed it and thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was. However, that doesn't mean that it cannot be open to criticism either.
It's core strength lies in the fact that it feels much like a point and click game and it's fairly decent at that. However, it seemed quite clear from the outset that it wouldn't play to that strength while you meander a...
If you want a solid website to go to for gaming news and interesting articles; why don't you try gatheryourparty.com or notenoughshaders.com? They seem pretty good.
Cry me a river. EA has done it to themselves with the way that they've been handling their own franchises and their DLC practices.
Nah. They were paid off. I always remember how Destructoid had all their staff proclaiming how The Old Republic was like the second coming of the Messiah. You can't trust any gaming site.
Oh? ¬_¬ That's nice I guess.
I guess it'd be good as a webcam.
Or just ANOTHER reason not to go to Metacritic.
