Besides, every game journalist gave ME3 stellar scores. Do you really think that they are going to try and ignore a "perfect game" like ME3?

After the whole ME3 debacle happened and I saw the major gaming websites with their sneering condescension talking down to a loyal fanbase who were appalled at an ending that didn't make any logical sense whatsoever; I think that I'm completely done with the Mass Effect universe.
I don't honestly see how they can drag me back to buying ME4 after witnessing what they did by gouging...
I stayed up all night to watch the countdown.

Not surprised in the slightest since I expected an IOS game of some sort, but we even got less than that.

The game had a pretty strong story and deserves GOTY. You could substitute Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed or Dishonoured in the article and it'd be the same result. Bugs, logic issues, puppets, linearity etc.

You're so right Mega. I just find it galling to say the least when people claim that gaming has grown up because there's a sex scene in a game. There have been games that were back in the 90s that were far more daring than Far Cry 3. I have no mouth and I must scream tackled real issues like genocide, rape, paranoia, insanity, selfishness etc that put it way beyond a lot of games of this current gen.

Pfft. Point and click games in the 90s were more adult than this. Check out Phantasmagoria or I have no mouth and I must scream for examples of adult story telling. I can guarantee you that no game company today has the balls to tackle real adult issues.

True enough, but there are thousands of games on there. So many to choose from.
If you want new graphics, make your own gaming rig. PC really is where it's at for intensive graphics etc.

Man, the PS1 had so many diverse games on it. Bushido Blade, Nightmare Creatures, Tenchu, Mr.Domino, Kurushi Final, Vib Ribbon, Fear Effect and so many other great games.
One big thing that is missing from this generation is variety. Due to the amount of investment required for games these days, it's understandable that originality has to be left at the door to satiate the corporates and to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
