Nope. There are more PS fanboys in this site only (and probably a couple of other sites). Ever been on Gamespot or G4TV forums? Unfortunately, you're not understanding your OWN logic. Yes, the PS3 did have a rough launch, but to say that the PS3 simply survived due to brand recognition is an oversimplication of other possible factors. Like one of the guys said, "recognition can only bring you so far". If you look at history, people will buy stuff on a brand they feel comfortable (so yes, I agree with you on that level), for example the Saturn and Dreamcast after Sega's abominable deb...
