While not on par with the cinematic sequences shown last year, this is still looking great. Not that I expected anything else from Kojima and Co. I agree that Kojima is largely to thank for the creation of the stealth-action genre. I still prefer the gameplay of Splinter Cell over MGS, but I'd be a liar if I said that I wouldn't like to see this on the 360.
For the sake of the Playstation fanbase, I really hope this isn't true.
I finally caved to all the hullaballoo about this one and watched a video. I don't know what it was, but I just never gave it a chance before today. Now that I've seen the video and seen what the developers are looking to do with this game, I've got to say I'm excited for this one.
More chest-thumping. I'm sorry, but the divisions between MS and Sony marketshares are going to be a lot less noticeable on this outing and exclusivity is going to become a thing of the past. That said, most developers are going to be looking to hit the sweet-spot to target both consoles. So, aside from Sony's first-party franchises, I don't really see a whole lot of games actually using the extra storage space.
Still no Tenchu demo for me, huh? Color me disappointed. :(
I know I'm relatively new here, but I just wanted to say thanks. This place is fantabulous.
I'm sure some of you have been following this one closely for some time now, but this footage completely blind-sided me. Between this and Blue Dragon, I might just start liking Eastern RPGs again. Hopefully titles like these help sales pick up in Japan.
I'm in Portland, OR, so I'll check it out. Here's hopin'... You do mean the playable demo, right?
Do tell....
Well played, Warner.
That getting left out of the Tenchu demo is a bit of a slap in the face for me. The lameness of that omission cancels out everything that was cool about this news post, so I'll refrain from voting.
This is actually one of the XBLA titles I was most stoked about. Online co-op should be a blast. Thank you Konami! Now just let us have some MGS4 and I'll really love you.

Here is a quote from the link...
"ATI did clarify that although Microsoft isn't targetting 1080p (1920 x 1080) as a resolution for games, their GPU would be able to handle the resolution with 4X AA enabled at no performance penalty. "
I gotta say, I'm impressed with all of this news. As for Truth's questions about why MS didn't just include some of these features right away, it's because MS probably didn't want to alienate certain demographics. I mean, when owning a next-gen console means buying a new HDTV to fully enjoy it, some people are gonna be turned off. MS's strategy with the 360 has always been evolutionary. It's a platform that can adapt to the wants and needs of the market. Personally, I think it's a wise move. ...
I would easily count Ninja Gaiden among the top 5 games on the original Xbox, so it's nice to see you guys getting some love from Team Ninja. Just so you know, the game is ridiculously hard; well worth it, but difficult to distraction.
I almost wonder what MS's reaction is going to be, given that Tecmo's Team Ninja really represents one of their key weapons in the battle for the Japanese market.
PS ~ Truth, none of your links worked for me. :(
Goldeneye would be pretty awesome.
Sure, they haven't confirmed it, but they haven't denied it either. I'm leaning towards there being an official announcement at some point in the near future. Personally, I think it's great that we'll all get to play these games, irrespective of our console choice. In the end the gamers win. The more I think about it, exclusivity is really bad for the industry.
As for Jin, I'm convinced he's either on Sony's payroll or a bot.
Thank God. I'd hate to think you were serious.
"Look! It's headed for that small moon."
"That's no moon...that's a Playstation."
But really, I find it funny that you accuse MS of tyranny when Sony's the company that's been running the industry for the past five years. Let's hear it for hollow promises, unwarranted arrogance, proprietary technology, and malicious spyware! GO SONY!
But when did gaming become some pointless bickering about load-times, file-size and image resolution? I'm not saying I'm guiltless. I've given voice to my inner fanboy many a time in the past, but all of this is getting to be a bit ludicrous. Just give me entertaining games.
