ultimoulu, he is right.
Microsoft is a bigger company overall than sony. They have more cash and everything...
In the case of GTAIV DLC, it was a waste of money.
Why, was Microsoft's goal to sell as many copies as the competition with a smaller install base?
You realize that if they hadn't given out that money, the division would have reported a profit last year? :O
Developers would do well to learn from the level of support that Valve gives to their games, even those that are now a decade old.
FF13 is NOT coming out on 360 in Japan ever. SE didn't bother because of the low base of the 360 in that country.
Why not have one app that handles it all? I would argue that its better and more streamlined.
A very well-written article, the writer deserves kudos for actually taking his time and providing many examples.
Crysis will be pretty tough to beat. The one level with snow looked insane.
Funny, Bioshock 1 didn't have that problem. The sales were almost an even split between PC/360.
It depends on the game. Street Fighter IV is delayed because it doesn't appeal to most of the PC's audience and those people are more likely to pirate it to try it out. Bioshock is an established franchise on the PC that would suffer from a bad reputation if its sequel got significantly delayed.

As all games are nowadays...
It's not like id's design philosophy has ever excluded consoles. Pretty much all of their previous games have been console friendly in terms of simple gameplay mechanics. I don't understand how people still have the balls to disagree this late into the gen.
Even multi-plat games that had no-frills PC ports look significantly better than their console counterparts at this stage.
Considering the entire game will be installed to hard drive on PC, disk type is a non-issue for the PC version, there are also no royalty costs to worry about like with the 360.
Play it on a Mac with good hardware, and that's probably true.
How about we not make light-hearted humor of the millions who died in the Holocaust?
Yes. Let's all rejoice in the potential loss of thousands of jobs. :/
