Totally agree with you. Deus Ex' debut was very impressive.
This is just a general statement on why most AAA games cost only $60, especially new AAA IPs.
The Witcher is proven and already has a fan base that is going to buy it. They don't need the DLC.
Neither does GTAV, but that's just a different philosophy of selling product.
It's difficult to compare Evolve, which requires much investment up front and is unproven, to Skyrim, which is a team of developers who are already quite familiar with how to develop their game and are then able to focus on content.
I think the crux of the article is not about Evolve, but about how paid DLC means we haven't seen a price increase for many years. Remember, games have cost $60 since 2005. That's remarkable when you consider inflation, and not even th...
I misread that so please disregard my previous post. How can a review be subjective if it doesn't take a reviewer's feelings about the game into account beforehand? Many players who were looking forward to the game would have similar expectations, and their disappointment would impact the amount of fun they have and the value they're getting out of the product. The score is there to evaluate as objectively as possible the quality of the game and does not necessarily correspond to ...
Reviews simply cannot be subjective if they evaluate the amount of fun a player can have. If you want a list of product features, go on the game's website.
The writer also infers that this product is fun but backwards in many ways. That alone makes it a disappointment.
I am planning on playing the PC version.
DICE has no announced projects in development besides Medal of Honor multiplayer and Mirror's Edge 2. They have to be working on something else, like Battlefield 3.
Why would a game to be announced at E3 be listed on the line-up?
Hard to believe EA and Take 2 working together on a game when they're competitors, huh?
Why is Epic mentioned in the article when two-fifths of the games that they have released and will release this generation are multiplatform?
Cowboy Name - Sam "Iam" Knot
Movie Name - No Rest for the Saloon Door
This is great news for those who want some extra Achievement points.
STFU.
That would be a problem if Respawn Entertainment didn't have full control over any IP that they develop.
A repeat situation CAN'T happen because Respawn Entertainment was formed to be an independently run studio with a publishing agreement with EA. That's different from being a wholly-owned subsidiary like Infinity Ward is.
This game will never drop below 30, according to Cevat Yerli.
Has anyone considered inflation as a possible cause?
Uncharted 2 definitely had some pre-rendered cutscenes, its why there was a slight pause between the in-game gameplay and some of the better looking cutscenes. I think MGS4 had pre-rendered cutscenes as well. However, I'm pretty sure that, with the exception of the introduction cutscene, all of Killzone 2 was in-game.
Does anyone know if the EULA for FW 3.2.1 contained any... "hidden traps" for hackers like GeoHot? I wouldn't put it past Sony... :P
A lot of optimization work can be done in a year...
Why are people acting as if it is so easy for developers to create games that run in 3D for the PlayStation 3? Forget rendering two video streams at 60 fps, the PlayStation 3 can only render graphical powerhouses like God of War III, Uncharted 2: Drake's Fortune, and Killzone 2 at approximately 30 fps on ONE video stream.
So yes, it is technically feasible to run 3D games on the PlayStation 3, just as it is on the Wii. Preserving graphical quality while doing so is next to imposs...
Very good point. That minority shouldn't have much staying power, however, because there's no controversy to it.
The more negative impact happens AFTER people lay down money for the game to find that it hasn't been accurately represented.
