I tend to disagree that games are not worth $60. Games like Gears 3 and Halo: Reach have so much content stuffed into them, its hard to argue with the value. Same with Mass Effect, there is a lot of content in the game, not only is there a huge campaign, there is multiplayer (which is fun as hell) included. If its anything like ME2 or even ME1, I will be replaying this game several times, you just have to appreciate games for what they are.
He says it himself, the multiplayer is fun. I hate when people try to over-complicate things for no reason at all. Games are there to make you have a good time, the multiplayer achieves that, and this is only a demo.
I hope the DLC character is more interactive than in the second game. You weren't able to have full conversations with those characters in ME2, hopefully that's not the case this time around.
I highly doubt that.
Halo 2 was pretty bad. That was the biggest cliffhanger of any game that I've completed, I still loved the game though. People want to hate on the Arbiter parts, but I think it really allowed people to like the character.
This CE version is really worth the extra money, and that isn't always the case. A lot of CE's recently don't give a lot of value for the extra money, but this one offers up a lot. If there was one thing I would have hoped for, it would have been some behind the scene stuff like Bungie did with Halo 3, but for the most part its a great value.
It was announced since Day 1 that the collector's edition would be getting a bonus character and mission. At first I did see why people were complaining, but then I remembered it was a promise they made to the people buying the CE version. Why didn't people complain when they first announced it?
Can't wait for my CE version, it's a good thing I preordered early.
I'll be getting my CE Day 1 anyway, but I understand why people are bothered by this.
I went through ME2 like 4 times, I'll probably be replaying this one a few times too. You can still play DLC after you beat the game.
I don't think they did. The discs didn't say mutliplayer or campaign on them, just disc 1 and disc 2.
That would be cool, but I can do my own unboxing by then lol.
I want to see an unboxing of the CE version!
The ME2 launch trailer was one of the best trailers I've ever seen, I hope they can top that.
The trailer was pretty awesome, if you didn't know, the full extended trailer is releasing on Tuesday. This was pretty epic though, and the CG looked amazing.
Damn, I was just about to post this lol.
Amazing trailer, the CG looks stunning. I'm loving the demo, and the multiplayer was much better than I was expecting. I can't wait until the game finally releases.
Loving the game, friends are loving it too. It gets pretty intense in some matches and I can go on hours on end just playing the demo, can't wait for the full game.
Like you, I was a bit skeptical about the multiplayer. After playing it with friends, I'm loving it so far. I don't think it will take away from the campaign though since another studio worked on the multiplayer so that Edmonton could focus on the single player.
The campaign part is tough to judge from just a demo, but from what I can tell it won't disappoint. I think the real surprise of the demo was the multiplayer. I didn't think it would be any good, but I'm now playing it non-stop with friends. It's great and really requires good teamwork otherwise you'll just keep dying.
I've had my version pre-ordered since November, so happy I did. It's a nice change to see that a Limited Edition is actually limited.
