What are you blabbering about POG ? SURE there was gonna be a deal, and some kind of a relationship. We are talking business here, not your personal Schoolyard business kind.
To get loose WITH the name "Bungie" there had to be a deal. And deals have two sides.
Microsoft Studios got 1st right of acceptance for Bungie games, hence Bungie may do anything that MS does not want to distribute and sell it via a different distributor. If MS wants it, they can d...
Ahh POG, in the thread 4 days ago you claimed it all to be BS and suddenly its "the best for Bungie" funny how perceptions and statements switch in your case.
Aint it strange that Bungie seemingly forgot to add the word "exclusively" to the PR blabber ?
"We will continue to develop with our primary focus on Microsoft® platforms" - did you spot it ? DID you?
where is the "We will continue to develop with ou...
Sorry, but then get the heck out of HTML, and start with a PROGRAMMING language, like C->CPP->C# or Java or asp.net
HTML is a markup language, and completely useless if you want to learn programming. Even Jscript or activescript or VBscript would be better, though these languages are looked and laughed upon by programmers.
Start with java if you are serious about that plan, you are already way late to start anyways.
Afaik they still have Rare ...
And Lionhead Studios ? im not sure on that one
Huh ?
The article has it completely upside down O_o
The mentioned copy protection schemes have been around longer than the DMCA. The only thing the DMCA does is making it a breach of the law to circumvent this copyprotection garbage and to sell or produce tools to do so.
Simple example? : AnyDVD was a perfectly legal tool pre-DMCA, but is now considered illegal based on the DMCA.
The main fault with the DMCA is that it completely nullifies ...
Wow, made up controversy much ?
Take Insomniacs decent comment:
"It would be amazing to think that Miyamoto-san thought that was so cool that he wanted to incorporate it into Mario Galaxy"
gogo gadget Kotakuflameinventer:
"Insomniac Dude Reckons Mario Galaxy just ripping off Insomniac's games" + a stupid "HACK" picture
A quick, but unrelated sidequestion:
What does the GE stand for ?
Sorry to say it that drastic Segamer, but you are an obvious moronic tool. And if you handle your job as incompetent as you handle your troubleshooting i fear the worst for your customers.
"I did go through the manual and failed to find that piece of information. That is part of the problem with Playstation 3, I shouldn't have to bleed to enjoy it. For video and sound setting and any other kind of setting, there are a hundred million options. The interface isn't friendly i...
Why yes Rooftrellen, lotsa people know Microsoft for their OS, indeed. They know it for its Blue screens, hang ups, constantly breaking document format (try to write a long document including pictures and footnotes, as often needed in science and business and you are in for living hell, miserable performance (vista, the sales flop of 2007), for horrid activation issues, for getting locked out and called software thief when Microsofts WGA server again have a bluescreen them self, not to surpri...
No matter the good intentions, still a Blogpost from Friday, January 07, 2005 does not qualify as "news" as far as i am concerned. Nevertheless it is a good read, thx.
Card distribution is handled by "Wizards of the Coast"
If you are into card games you know them ...
The thing that you conveniently forget is that it would NOT launch for $399 now, it would launch for the same price it did last year. 3rd party devs would be nowhere in developement, as they would look at a Wii:12 million, Xbox360: 11 million, PS3 zero console distribution.
Especially the Wii success would already have moved developers completely off the HD scene into the Wii thing.
From a business point its also garbage, you do not sit on a huge pile of brand ...
What are you talking about ?
Sony did not "kill" the PS2 on the PS3 launch, i guess you mixed up X-Box with Playstation here. Sony is still developing and releasing 1st party titles for the PS2 wich still sell great. Even 3rd party devs are still on PS2 games (wich is a bit bad for the Wii, cause devs atm make new PS2/Wii games as they are roughly on the same graphical level)
It's funny how the pirates always blabber fair use and "homebrew" when they in fact only want to steal. Same as retards who claim 1st Amendment when banned or modded on privately owned webspace for posting utterly crappy garbage.
Sure your Ipod has a 720p, yes yes, we know, just wait for the Ambulance, the crewman will come and take you to a nice padded room so you don't hurt yourself anymore.
And you will most likely whine and biatch when you get thro...
Totally different ? hardly
if you had took the time and added up the pokemon numbers (like famitsu does) this numbers look exactly like the vgcharts numbers, only that vgcharts is ~ 10% higher on all titles cause they take the famitsu numbers over the media create numbers.
overall both are as accurate as you would get sales data, as in 10-20% around the real numbers. Both numbers are estimates, not handcounted sales out of the shops.
obviously you confuse having an ethernet port with having Internet access.
close to no one hooks up their DVD players to the internet with a freaking lan cable straight through the living room.
Only a fraction of the market buys HD Players, regardless if BluRay or HDDVD. From that fraction only about half buy standalone players for HD-DVD. From that half only a tiny tiny fraction hooks up the DVD player in the living room to the ethernet cable that is needed for these extra crumbs.
What was so great about these "features" for a disinterested handful of geeks again?
I hardly ever look at the DVD extras, and so do most other people.

You get horrible framedrops and stuttering when you play it on a SD tv. I was quite surprised as took it back to my pal today after he lend it to me over the weekend. On my HDTV it was smooth and void any stuttering in the videos. But on his SD TV set it was quite a sight, all video scenes stutter horribly and he got framedrops in gameplay.
Seems that the downscaling for SD is implemented wrong or at least with ugly performance hits.
The game itself: the contro...
The same reasons, but i make different conclusions.
MS drops 1st party devs. That could be a restructuring move to bail out of the high risk dev business. Gears showed them that you can get great exclusives without having to to own the studio. And after the floptastic Fasa and Rare development they could just move out of the "we own x 1st party dev studios" thing because except Bungie there was not so much success.
And at the same time they invest and ...
