Has to be PS4 by this point.

This article is a mental exercise by the writer to dismiss arguments against his position by mischaracterising people's concerns re: the Xbox One so that he can feel more secure in a purchasing decision he is unsure of. He needs the validation of his audience as reassurance.
Similar articles written re: PS4 are either typical console war trash or similar ...
Polygon publish real dreck and is unquestionably one of the worst outlets we currently have, but I don't think it's reasonable to get angry about their review scores if they reflect the opinions of the writer(s).
There is I think a certain level of bias against Nintendo amongst a section of enthusiast outlets - outlets which coincidentally that aren't prepared to do real research, check sources or verify facts.
The difference between Nintendo and (say) EA when it comes to this is that Nintendo games are both high quality and replayable, whereas EA makes middling titles that they want to be treated as disposable (which means they're excellent trade-in fodder) because they want you to move on and buy their next game. So Reggie has the right of it, in a way.
This is not the strong defence of this platform that the author thinks it is. Stinks of desperation in places, like there's a weird need to justify this purchasing decision. Half of the reasons not to buy feel like they were lifted from Youtube comments, too.
There's been rumours about production troubles for their boxes for a while now. It wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be true that they'll have fewer machines available at launch, but it would surprise me if the difference between the Xbone and PS4 was as large as alleged.
George Lucas is an expert when it comes to creating compelling characters, after all.
I'm surprised, I thought he'd go (with some gusto) to bat for his old bosses.
That's Square-Enix everybody, industry leaders in disappointment.
Clifford "CliffyB" Bleszinski is an industry shill and his opinions should not be treated as holding weight excepting solely when they pertain to game design.
Very reminiscent of the earlier games. Look like they've worked out a way for players to fly near indefinitely. Pretty cool. Really like Infamous as a series.
They really should be making a case for this that isn't either "you'll understand once you've bought and paid for the box" or "b-but things you can do anyway!". You can't count on suckering the mainstream with a box so expensive - you need to win the early adopters over first, and they are emphatically not sold.
Powerful tempted to contribute to this chart action.
At least the service will visibly improve in what appears to be a reasonably smart way. I doubt Live can shed it's reputation as a den of racist fratboys, though.
I do enjoy Victorian-era stuff. Always interesting.
They say this every hardware cycle. Microsoft has started repeating it. Don't see why we should be surprised or that it'll be untrue or anything.
The apparent commitment to multi-platform releases in there is, I think, significant - a lot of the noise we got from journalists suggested EA could drop PS4 support over the DRM thing. Nice to see the press only continues to talk out their rear ends.
Weird. You'd think from how the start of this past gen went, people would realise that having to put out defence pieces for a box means it's in a bad place. No amount of articles trying to argue the value proposition of the PS3 versus the 360 met with any real success back then. I don't see how you can win anyone over arguing the (very questionable, IMO non-existent) value proposition of the Xbox One over the PS4.
I'll believe it when I see it. Modern Square-Enix talks too much in hypotheticals for me.
