There's no reference sound on that video to compare it to. My speakers are all the way up, so it sounds loud, but for all i know, he may have cranked the volume up on the video itself, as well as me playing it through five speakers.

I was going to say congrats on the cast iron bladder.

I figured they would be, which is why I DL'd the firmware update ahead of time. I imagine I'll just install that and have the Killzone campaign and ACIV to keep me busy for several days until things get calmed down.

A handful out of thousands given out is not a high failure rate.

Worked better on over half.. what? The 360 didn't even have a lot of these features, and even more were locked behind a paywall, like many of the demos were.

Yeah, it's all over their website now. Officially starts Tuesday morning.

Without a doubt there will be driver updates. As a matter of fact, there already have been some.

BS, I already claimed that one. Yours in the in the corner off screen because someone ran over it with a forklift.

I wish I could have, but it keeps yellow lighting. Easier to just replace it now being they are so cheap, especially if I look around at Black Friday deals.

MS started a year ahead and at a lower price point than Sony last gen and several years later they even at best.

It was for Crytek, which means it looks like filet mignon and tastes like microwaved meatloaf.

While I'm getting Black Flag because I loved the ship battle stuff from AC3, I totally agree about the burning out. This is a series that really doesn't need to be an every year release. It's just not different enough to me to warrant a yearly purchase.

Depending on how Watch Dogs turns out, maybe they should consider alternating the years on those releases or something. I don't know.

MS owns Skype, I doubt they'll let Sony use it. Of course, I could be wrong and it gets it before the year is out. It may depend on how much Sony is willing to pay for it.

Edit: Forgot the rest of my statement

Did someone just put up graphic requirements back from Windows 95 and 98? Awesome!

* Most VGA cards are shipped with 256 KB of RAM installed.

** 640 KB actually needed. 1 MB required due to upgrade requirements on video cards.

*** External RAMDAC (RAM digital-to-analog converter) required for these colors.

Such nostalgia. I still have an old Pentium II clocked at 300MHz out in the garage. I remember later how huge it was wh...

With release day delivery, it's usually a day or two beforehand, depending on how close you are to a distribution point.

We have a fulfillment center being built in town. Soon I'll have same-day delivery!

I'm sure they can find a few more versions of a Nissan Skyline to put in there. /s

No, no, no, remember they have double super secret GPUs with the main one. In fact, they are so secret, no developer has found them yet.

And props to you for admitting that. Most people would have made some half-assed comment to justify their console of choice.

No, it showed 2.75 GHz as the highest clock for the system, it didn't specify what was clocked that high. FCC documents don't list what is possible, they list what IS. Meaning, something is definitely clocked that high, but it's not the CPU. In actuality, it's the RAM. 2.75GHz times 2 (GDDR=Graphics Double Data Rate) equals the 5.5GHz speed that it is.

Here at Microsoft, we've worked long and hard to bring you the next piece of must-have entertainment hardware. It's completely revamped cooling system is much more efficient and effective than our last offering. No longer will you have to purchase eight systems during a generation due to overheating. No, we have cut that number in half! Half the amount of bad things is always good.

We've also taken great strides to bring you the most powerful piece of console hard...
