Yeah, golf strikes me as being very expensive, especially if you explore a bit of coaching to improve.
In respect of games, I have no issue paying for games that interest me and in my view, value for money is completely subjective, the 55 quid I recently paid for The Last of Us Part 1 was absolutely money well spent for me, for example. It's my favourite game and it was an opportunity to experience it all over again and I absolutely could appreciate the work that had g...
Further to your point Angryobangyo, Nintendo should be praised for funding these sequels when nobody else would, they are such fun games. I am looking forward to getting stuck into number 3!
Yup, I remember being blown away with Heavenly Sword. I remember holding out hope that they would go back and add trophy support as a incentive to go back and replay the game, but I don't think they ever did?
Actually chief, I think it's completely legitimate to express concern over aspects such as gameplay given the repetitive nature of the combat and puzzles in the first game.
I don't think anyone seriously thinks the sequel will be a bad game, the devs are fantastic and the first game has left plenty of room to grow the franchise, but it's not unreasonable to acknowledge some of the flaws of the original especially given MS' track record with publishing exclus...
Personally I thought it was a little overrated. It was a solid enough experience but the puzzles and combat were extremely repetitive in my view. It was Senua herself and the story that made me push through to complete the game, but I am hopeful that the gameplay sees some improvement in the sequel.
I recall enjoying it well enough at the time, but it wasn't a patch on God of War 3 which came out around the same time I think.
I own it and fired it up on my PS3 about 6 months ago and time hadn't been particularly kind to it although it still very much nailed the atmosphere and it is a cool as he'll setting and universe.
Perhaps you should get experienced at the profession, deliver fantastic performances that play a major role in the popularity of a hugely successful franchise and then see how you feel about being offered what is in effect, peanuts in the context of Nintendo and the likely profit of this major release.
I think the UK and hopefully the EU are right to be sceptical. Look at MS historical anti competitive behaviour and put the Activision deal into context along side their other moves such as buying Bethesda. It is clear there is a material risk of a multi billion dollar industry being monopolised here and that's bad news for consumers and the industry itself.
Such a shame to see the state Atari finds itself in, as a kid in the 70s and 80s, I loved Atari.
Exactly, some of the people above talking about standard rates are missing the point, it the titular character in a hugely successful franchise that she helped popularise. She is an established and experienced professional reprising the role and paying her the bare minimum rate is really poor in my view.
If this was her first role and this was some indy project then yes, this kind of offer seems fair.
Apart from the fact that you have no talent of course. It has nothing to do with hours worked and everything to do with someone being paid the going rate to render a service. Personally, I thought she was fantastic in the previous Beyonetta games and nailed the delivery given the bonkers story and narrative, it could so easily have come off as cheesy.
I would assume someone providing voice acting would be making pretty hefty sums of money for major projects like this, reg...
I use a stock checking site in the UK and feel like I see PS5s available every day or two these days. It will be interesting to see the uptick in sales performance now I think.
Do you remember when the 'press' were slamming Sony for using non proprietary drives and praising MS for their proprietary solution? That hasn't aged well now you look at these prices, I always thought Sony's solution was better personally.
Wrong comment chain, deleted.
I'll sit tight and hope for a physical release. I haven't played either title but I am excited to try them.
@Everton, you just mirrored my childhood really closely.
I had the Amstrad CPC464 and I absolutely loved it. I then had my dad's C64 after he got a NES.
I used to read Zzap64 and can remember resenting the Amiga as my fave magazine covered Amiga more and more at the expense of my beloved C64. Then when I was about 14 my parent bought me a second hand Amiga with hundreds of copied games and this was my personal golden age for gaming. The Amiga was si...
Just got the platinum trophy for the 2nd time for GoW (on my 2nd account) in preparation for Ragnarok, I honestly cannot wait to play the game!
Sounds like a similar gaming 'career' to me bruv, I can remember my dad passing on his Atari 2600 to me when he got a Commodore 64, I thought I was the mustard as a nipper with my own gaming system in my room in the early 80s.
Why does that sound so familiar?
My guess for when the prises will jump is that the moment they are in a position to release a couple of 1st party exclusives they will also bump the price.
