@Aenea: Zing!
That's kind of a bad example, since the PSX was a DVR with a PS2 integrated into it. The PS2 hardware itself was unchanged, and played games at the same quality as a normal PS2. Also, it sold terribly so was never released outside of Japan.
That said, I think the reception of the Neo will largely depend on how Sony presents it. At this point there's so much misinformation out there, people are reacting to issues that may not even exist. In a little over a month at ...
Considering how well the PS4 is selling at the moment, there's very little difference between the two. It's not as though stores are returning them to distributors. If Sony were flooding retail outlets with stock unnecessarily to inflate those numbers, then I'd question it.
The bottom line is that we "accept" what we get. If we had shipping numbers from Microsoft for the Xbox One, we'd "accept" that, and use it as a basis of comparison. ...
We know nothing official yet. We have no facts, only rumors without substantiation.
Even still, I can say confidently that the system will not be $800. That's just ridiculous.
Again, the connection is not Bluetooth.
For $30 you get 10% off digital EA games, which means you have to buy six EA games a year to get your money's worth. And it only applies to digital games so you can't even trade them in when you're done. They're discouraging physical sales over digital where they get a much greater margin.
You get early access, which is good. Its a week head start on games, which is a tangible benefit that EA Access provides. For alpha consumers, which EA loves, the thought ...
@Ju: Until Sony announces anything, it's a rumor. The specs can change, the plans can change, hell they could decide to not release it at all. Until we get facts directly from Sony, we can't assume anything.
Kind of curious about that myself actually.
Pattons?
I think you mean figuratively. Also, I disagree.
It wasn't that stealthy.
@Darkkent: What do you mean by "so soon"? What else would they be doing as a developer other than working on a game?
Disclosing that sometimes games get edits prior to release to make them a better game? It's hardly a secret that studios do this. Hell, I remember SSM talking about content that didn't make the cut in the special features of God of War and laying out what would have been cool about it and why it didn't work.
Will it restore your deleted character?
Imma let you finish...
The funny thing is, by the laws of probability, there's going to be one guy who's random seed places him randomly right next to another guy who explored the planets first. His whole game is going to be cursing that first guy for naming all of his planets and creatures with "stupid names" and taking all the good resources. It will slowly drive him mad until he hunts his nemesis down and makes him pay.
@b163o1: The chances of two planets being exactly alike i...
Apparently 80% now qualifies as "not a total disappointment".
Exactly what percentage is the break point for "satisfactory"?
"We have a product for people who can't get online, it's called Xbox 360" - Former Microsoft Executive.
Maybe there's a reason this guy isn't working for Sony anymore.
@donthate: Can you give us a link to these "official" Sony documents that you keep referring to?
