i know at least five of my friends are picking it up with killzone and socom 4 release, I think a lot of people are waiting for more games to patch move support or until a few more games for move are released.
i cant blame them in waiting until something comes along for them to justify their purchase, but I love it. the new patch for Mag has made it play like a new game, and Tumble is addictive. (imo) when more people get their hands on it, it will inspire more to pick it...

at times you have to have early adopters or else the product may not make it out the gate in order to make any money.
i realize its crazy to pay that much for something non-essential but would anyone here argue that my iphone or buddies droid phones are worth 300-500 bucks? without someone investing in the tech it may end up dead and who knows what amazing device/idea could occur because of the chance for a product to be given a chance.

this 2.0 will make this somewhat of a new game with the dramatic changes to the character loadouts/weapons systems/etc... and the addition of Move tech will make this a completely different experience this go around.
this will get me back into Mag for a while, im sure this and the price drop will bring some old blood and some new blood back into the mix for a while I just hope that along with this new update they address some of the issues with hit detection.
I agree on the ball looking odd, but its purpose is for enhanced tracking. Perhaps they could have kept it enclosed and made it a little less obtrusive but that may have affected detection which is why we see the orb. Looks aside, it does what they said it would ....and it works like a champ, it is much smoother in tracking and selecting than the wii in my opinion.
having a blast with Move, the bundled sports game with it is fun as hell too. Between archery/golf/bocce ball I love it. I need another controller to get into the gladiator challenge but its worth the price. Ive spent more time already playing this than I have my wii that I have had for almost 2 years.

Short of tricking consumers into purchasing this with the lore of great titles to come, tell me how you are going to play anything other than flash type games with Kinnect not having any buttons. Controlling the menu screens would be a plus, short of doing a wave at the camera WHILE holding the controller to reload or open a door...etc...Sell me on it, give those of us with doubt a reason why it will be something to want to own.

my only reason for wanting the cross game chat functionality is for what you just said about the people hogging the mic or just being rude.
in some games its not bad with the way they handled the mics but in cod its just a clusterfuck. I shouldnt have to use Skype or my cellphone if there is a free option (xgame chat) which could be implemented.
