No the comparison is right as they are comparing consoles, the Switch is the same gen as PS5/XSX.
Always a chance it will I cannot see any of the new consoles (full spec versions) being under 500, but with the pandemic and sad job losses, who knows what will happen at release.

How many games do you think in the first few years of the consoles cycle do you think will be developed solely for SSD speed, I think there will be a few games that might be impacted by PC's that have older SSD's but not enough to worry about.

They do and they still get those games running on PS4/Xbox One, Doom Eternal for example.
