Sounds about right to me.
What a glowing review.
Is this US only? It's Saturday in Australia and I can't find it.
"An argument could be made for Dark Souls II and I think Bayonetta 2 blew a lot of people away, but the hype for these games wasn't quite as high."
What has hype got to do with a game being a masterpiece?
Also, 2014 has not been a disappointing year unless you're a PS4 or PC gamer. Multiplats have pretty much sucked so far apart from Shadow of Mordor and DAI.
The Xbone & Wii U are keeping me happy though. I do wish MCC ...
I'd give it a 7, Xbone 8 and the Wii U an 8.5. None of them a really blowing my skirt up.
Nobody has been pushing the 'cinematic game' as much as Sony. Or the whole ' 1080p' garbage. None of these things are what makes games great. Nintendo and Microsoft seem to be genuinely interested in great gaming experiences more than turning games into something they're not. They're turning games into movies and seem to have no interest in the pure joy of connecting with the controller. That's just how I feel anyway.
Are you talking about the grass in GTAV? Because apart from that they look identical to me.
The industry is a shadow of its former self. Mostly due to Sony's input. Thanks Sony.
Yet, core for core, performance has hardly improved since Sandy Bridge.
They want a fairly beefy CPU considering the consoles (last gen) that this game ran on.
I'm pretty disappointed that they didn't push for 60fps. The driving and shooting would have been phenomenal at 60. Not R*'s fault of course. The weak ass hardware is to blame.
OMG parity! lol.
Author is a moron. Latency is the biggest cause of lag, not bandwidth. Gaming hardly uses any bandwidth.
You nailed it.
I'm in the same boat. Just got an Xbox One and it's great. Wii U & PC for everything else
So they're profitable but because they're not selling like the PS4 then that's not good enough? Once they have sold enough machines to sell their own IPs, install base only really matters when it comes to multiplats.
Third parties have already given up on them so comparing the sales to the PS4 seems like a waste of time.
I feel like Miyamoto is an old man tinkering in his shed now. He just does whatever he wants. He earned it I guess, but I really do wish someone at Nintendo could be as big a visionary as him and create games as revolutionary as Mario 64, OOT & Metroid Prime.
Meh, Dick Smith had it for $59.98 if pre ordered. I know that doesn't help anyone now though so I'll just shut my mouth.
I used to have Optus cable that could go up to 100mbps. Most servers never allowed those sorts of speeds though.
I said 7. So yeah, in that ballpark. 8.4 is too generous IMO.
