Feeling connected to the controller and the game world. Games like Street Fighter, Bayonetta, Metroid Prime, Mario games, and Halo now that it runs at 60fps. Yeah, framerate is pretty important for me.
Also, I really like to have a beautiful environment to explore like in Far Cry 1 & 3 or WWHD.
I don't really care about story at all. I don't think games are an effective story-telling medium yet. They are immersive in their own way though.
People should stop buying broken games and make it clear to the publishers that the lack of quality control was the reason their game didn't sell. That's the only way. Otherwise Publishers will just be like 'oh well I guess people just don't like those types of games anymore'. Because that's easier than admitting that their fundamental business practices are broken.
I'll take a better framerate over stupid voice commands any day. Nice work MS.

No Zelda but The Order 1886 makes the list? WTF? I think we all know which will be the better game.
Good choice. The competition wasn't that good, but even if it was Mario Kart would have had a fighting chance. I just wish the battle mode was great. It would have been my game of the generation straight away :(
Geez I hope Nintendo have some more Wii U games to announce for next year. Only 13 games the whole year including Project Cars. PS4 has 60-something. I know that only 10 or so of the PS4 games will be really good but still. Nintendo won't get any mindshare apart from Zelda.

Good list. I haven't played shovel knight but people always cry foul if it's not mentioned, so I will await those comments.

Can't be prevented I suppose, but I applaud Microsoft for recovering so quickly. That said: online gaming should be free, so I'm a bit less forgiving that it went down for any time at all.

Wii U is last gen. Which is awesome because gen 7 was one of the best I've ever experienced! Free online, HD graphics, polished games, new experiences. I miss that on my Xbox One.
Play on PC. That the only way to get the proper Far Cry experience. It needs to be played at 60fps.
