Nice score ... the game does look fantastic.
I love Retro but no ... Rareware made a ton of games every year. Not just one game every few years.
This is not a knock on Retro ... just saying they definitely have not replaced what Rare was to Nintendo which had both quality AND quantity.
Let's hope the give us release dates for Smash, X, Bayonetta and Yoshi and hopefully they are first half games.
With the lack of third party games ... Nintendo needs to get MORE games out faster themselves for their own system.

These five have a hardcore following and appeal that Nintendo lacks.

Since DK is 2D ... I doubt it will have that "MUST HAVE" feel to it for a lot of gamers. It's more of a game you get once you already have the system ... not a game you get a system for.
Doubt it ... I can barely play a FPS or fighting game online without lag ... imagining that lag added to my single player games and lower resolution and quality ... no thanks.
There was already a dip in quality in a CONTROLLED setting at the demonstration Sony held. Imagine the quality when it is in a non controlled setting.
UBIsoft has been Nintendo's best third party supporter. You can't blame them when their core games (Assassin's Creeds, Splinter Cell) have bombed on Wii U.
True but not for long and third party games (Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty) have already outsold their Wii U companion on the PS4 and XB1 by 4 to 10 times more.
The Wii U fan base consist of gamers who own multiple systems and will buy third party games on the other systems or only own a Wii U but don't support third party games.
Either way ... third party CORE games do not sell well on Wii U.

Looks fantastic and the developer is ex Naughty Dog personnel who worked on all the Crash and Jax games published by Sony and including the first Uncharted ... I am excited.
Loved Mischief Makers ... I believe Treasure was the developer. Not sure why Nintendo doesn't just buy them.
