NG said they're only releasing the game because people asked for it.
I doubt this was the original plan, especially when you consider how long ago the core development of this game was.

yeah they would of proudly mentioned 60fps if they had it.
should of came out in 2011 or 2012 IMO.
though having the delayed release date allowed for the polish that makes the game so good.
and releasing it for PS3 before the PS4 came out showed people that PS has good games, it really made the PS3 a well accepted platform which helped the PS4 sell.
So the timing was pretty perfect in a way.
enhanced lighting and draw distance, cool.
not a massive improvement though by the sounds of it.
doesn't look next gen, it would be nice if it did but oh well. (and yes I'm still calling PS4 next gen since we haven't moved onto it yet, look at this trailer and tell me next gen is here. it isn't.)

Edit: If it's America's summer (didn't the announcement come from Japan?) then the 3DS version will come out between June 21 and late August/early September.
the last one flopped, it's a dead franchise now.
I am expecting Nintendo to have a big announcement at E3. Possibly a new IP.

I preordered it on PS3 then didn't use the code because all it does it make the game easier. it's not the way it was intended to be played.
