They would get the content on to the XMB with ease. The PS3 has the advantage of extremely customisable firmware, update 2.10 is an example of this, when compared to the original firmware. It's like a different system altogether.
All it would need is a simple firmware update, which would be easy for the genuises at Sony.

That's the exact reason I dumped my 360, the fact that £40 a year made me feel as if I was obliged to play online (or else I felt I was wasting money) when PS3 and Wii owners get the service for free, and the way Microsoft treat their paying customers is appalling.
The PS3 isn't evil or anything, but people have been calling it 'the dark side' ever since it's release. When I bought a PS3, rofldings said "welcome to the dark side :)".
I think the fact that the PS3 got so much crap from the 360 owners at launch is the reason it's been labelled 'the dark side', and, even though it's taken major strides since then, that label's carried on.
I don't think any PS3 owners are bothered, in fact I think they like it, I do....
