Good reply. I especially agree with the last part of your post, about the 360 not having the legs to go on; I give the 360 a year, or maybe even two, before the PS3 makes it obselete.
it's a shame, the 360 has great games, and a fantastic online serveice, too, it's just such a crappy machine. Shame.
I'm gonna have to agree with you there, mate. For what you're getting for the price, buying this really will not benefit you at all.
Also, this will not take care of the RRoD, and I don't think anything ever will. People said exactly the same thing about teh 360's hardware issues, that they'll be fixed with the new 'Falcon chips', but that turned out to have minimal effect on the machine's reliability & noise coming from the console.

Why does the PSN store have to update every thursday? There's no point! Why don't they just update the store continuously with new content whenever it comes in?
That way it won't be something people can write articles like this about, and when you go on your PS3, you can go, "Hey, I wonder if there's anything new on the PSN store?" So you go onto the store, and see a demo for some game you're looking forward to, then download it in the background while playing COD4 online or ...

I mean, most people will say that MS brought online to consoles, but Sega got their first with the Dreamcast, so Live doesn't count.

Some people like to think for themselves rather than let reviews dictate what they play.
For instance, if I, like, FirstKnight, let reviews of games dictate what I play, then I wouldn't have bought SmackDown vs. RAW 2008, which is a game (although it's not to everyone's taste), that I thoroughly enjoy; it made me realise that I actually do like pro wrestling.
If I had let the fairly average Metacritic score put me off, then I would have missed out.

Not that the PS3's perfect, but as a console (games and online service notwithstanding) the PS3 is, and i'm sorry - i'm going to get disagrees for this - the PS3 is, without a shadow of a doubt, when compared to the 360, the better console. Sorry if that offended anyone :)

I think the 360's got until late 2008, or maybe even 2009 before it becomes obselete; I don't think releasing more advanced SKU's is going to help, in fact, I think it's only going to frustrate those who already bought the now 'inferior' systems.

I played the PSN demo and I found the game ok, but that was it... ok. Nothing more than an average game with decent graphics and some good multiplayer modes.
Not really interested in this game.
And who said splitscreen gaming was dead? There's nothing more fun than having a group of friends all squeeze onto the same couch and frag the hell out of each other.

I thought the 'twist' near the end of Drake's Fortune was great, it was completely unexpected, but it didn't go too far, or get too unbelieveable.
And the atmosphere in the Nazi bunker level is amazing, but not excessive. Quality game.
