While I agree with you on the "milking franchises" thing, Nintendo do it a hell of a lot better (Mario galaxy, Twilight Princess, etc.) than any other company out there.
A long time ago, Nintendo found a formula, a formula so good they knew it would keep gamers coming for more, no matter how old it got.
Sony also have their own formula, and while it's good, it constantly needs frequent doses of innovation to keep it going.

Looks like a fun MP game.
Just remember, framerates still play an important factor in comparisons.
Basically, the moral of the story is that there is still, despite the PS3 being out for over a year now, no-one who seems to be able to do a subjective comparison.
Personally, I find that sad.
Why don't we just settle for this:
PS3 fanboys can just have confidence in the fact that they can't trust any multiplatform game comparison anymore.
