Damn, I've wanted to install Linux on my PS3 for a while now...
Someone help me out, here. How much HDD space will Linux use? I have the 60gb HDD, and i've already used up 25gb, and i'll probably use a lot more soon.
So, will I need to upgrade my HDD in order to run Linux (with relative freedom, without worrying about space) or will I be fine using, say, 10gb of space?
As you can tell, i'm a bit of a noob.

If they got this map on here, shouldn't they be able to get all Halo maps on there? That would be cool.
Although, I must admit the maps on Halo are a little unbalanced, i'd like to see some Gears of War maps, and probably some other maps.

Sorry, mate. While I respect everyone's opinions, I just have to say that UT3 PWNS Halo, in just about every way imaginable.

I don't know when it comes out for 360, but I seriously recommend it to you. Fast-paced, and most of all, fun as hell.
Don't get it unless you're connected to Live though, the single player's pretty shallow.

I remember when I first got my 360, I got OXM and it had a trailer for this game on the DVD you get free with it. That was about two years ago, and back then Alan Wake was meant to have, like, no action at all, just be a completely story-driven game.
Still, it should be a good game, and god knows the 360 needs some good games for 2008.
As much as I hate Microsoft for being pr1cks to their paying customers, I wish them the best of luck for '08. Poor guys...

Secondly, even if it did happen, it wouldn't matter at all because we aren't paying $50 a year for PSN. We're paying $0 a year for PSN.
If by "unrealistic camoflauge/stealth stuff" you mean like, when Snake's lying on the floor dreesed like a tile, when his presence is glaringly obvious, I think that's so you don't lose track of where Snake is.
It may also be one of Hideo Kojima's things when he makes each of his games a sort of 'self-commentary' on how videogames are, in themselves, silly.

MGS4 and Resistance 2, are my must-haves for 2008. everything else can wait just a little while. KZ2 may just bag the third place spot.
And @ Quackpot, I agree with the animation not being as realistic as Assassins or Uncharted, but it's better than Gears of War. The level of detail is just... minblowing.

I cancelled my subscription a while back, because I felt like I was obliged to play Live. It was like, every time I wasn't on it, I felt like I was wasting money.
Live seriously isn't worth the cost, not one bit. especially seeing as the features I used mostly on Xbox Live were available on PSN for free.

It won't convert the Halo 3 die-hards, because they tend to be 10-year old kids (listen to the mics on Live and you'll know what I mean) and are therefore stubborn and ignorant.
This doesn't go for everyone, just most of them.
COD4 is the better game, the only advantage Halo has is that it's easier, and is therefore easier for the casuals to get into, and casual gamers count for a large part of the gaming crowd.
Quick, Toshiba, beat this dead horse some more while we can! I mean, sure, it's just gonna hold off more people from entering the HD market, (due to still-lingering confusion) but it's a dead horse! Who deosn't love beating these things?!
