I'd feel £50 richer.
I haven't read the original magazine article, and I doubt most of you have, so be open to the possibility that this quote may have been taken out of context before commenting.
Dunno if I completely agree with the way Maxim put it, but I think you, me, and Maxim see eye-to-eye here.
I laugh and laugh when people try to tell me Nintendo are "innovative" or "take risks". I do respect the company, and everything they've contributed to this industry, but so far this generation, they've been pathetic. Not in success, but in nature.
Ever wonder why there are barely any Wii fanboys on this site, or any gaming site at all for th...
Just remember those things get confused if people are on ISPs such as AOL. I've noticed myself unable to access certain sites, and finding out it's because someone got themselves IP banned, and brought me down with them :(
That fault's unheard of with the PS3, so there must be a problem with his mains electricity then.
One of the biggest things the PS3 has going for it: build quality.
I think we should all bookamrk kalle's comment, and laugh at him heartily when it's all over XD
According to theMART, fans of a certain console go around giving each other bubbles simply because they share console preference.
But, PoG didn't say anything questionable here, so let's not criticise :)
Yeah, I'm pretty set on Killzone 2 after that gameplay demo that blew everyone away. I have to be honest, I was really starting to doubt that game would deliver until then.
One thing they definitely need to do, though, is make the game more intense. A lot of people were just speedrunning through the levels. Once the AI gets tweaked, I can't see any other faults with the game :)
Lol BeaArthur... I can tell you, I'm from the UK, and I'm not sure there's any nation full of as many moaners as us... if anything, we're far pickier than you guys (both a good and bas thing, for both nations).
I don't think what Lucreto's saying is true either, though. I think the degree of "understanding" Haze would garner from the player is more dependant on the individual, rather than their nationality.
Same case for me, but with Metal Gear Solid, among some other games. The reason I prefer Sony most of the three really is that their first-party studios are the best in the industry, and their game libraries are always well-rounded. You can't really deny that.
With that said, if I saw an article tomorrow confirming MGS for Xbox 360, I wouldn't care. All it would mean to me is that more people get to enjoy my favourite game series as well. There really is no point in arguing over ...
No one's saying it doesn't suck, but you have to admit, they were a little too harsh in the graphics department.
The disagrees have been crazy on this site lately...
No, I'm sure Killzone 2 won't fail, I was just talking hypothetically.
All I'm saying is that, the mistakes Free Radical made now can be learnt from, and they can, in turn, make their next game fantastic.
They just got it wrong with their first try on unfamiliar hardware. Hopefully they'll get it right next time. Hell, even EA are starting to get it right.
To be honest, I think this game flopping won't have as much of a negative impact on Free Radical as one would presume. I mean, this is their first time developing for the PS3. Yeah, companies like Insomniac get it right first time, but not everyone can. FR just need to learn from their mistakes, improve upon the knowledge they've gained from the development process, and put all that into Timesplitters 4. The 'Splitters series is where Free Radical shine, it always has been.

Whilst my hopes weren't too high for this game, either, but I have to say, IGN are a little out of place scoring this game so low in the graphics department. They mark worse-looking games higher than that.
I'm not going to buy it anyway, but I think IGN were way too harsh on the game.
Well, every fanboy on this site is a hipocryte with double standards, so of course he jumps on this stuff when it's PS3-realated, but makes excuses to defend the 360 in the same situation. Don't be a fanboy like him by calling him an "Xmonkey".
Alright mate.
Lol Breakfast. Don't fall into his trap, DJ :)
The disagrees in this thread are insane. Next time an Xbox fan moans about this site being "overrun" by PS fanboys, I shall laugh in their face. Ha, ha, ha.
Does Deus Ex count as an RPG? I didn't know. If it is, would it be an action-RPG? For some reason, I'm poo at game genres when it comes to games like Deus Ex :(
I remember an American family tried to sue McDonald's for making their child fat. That's the problem right there. No-one wants to blame themselves for their own problems anymore, even if their problem is self-inflicted (in this case, obesity). We all feel the need to put the blame on outside influences.
In a way, Nintendo have capitalised on this, by taking advantage of the consumer's need to rely on an outside influence to take care of them. The outside influence, in this case, ...
