That article is so 2008. It did go down about a week ago for 2(ish) hours though so I'll give you that. The only thing I will say is that XBLA outages are usually a lot shorter than PSN outages.
On that note.. *Goes back to playing Gears*.
Clearly you haven't played Gears. You can't even get the acronym right.
I only own an Xbox and I completely agree that it is unfair to the PS3 owners and the issue needs to be raised.
If Activision gets away with this it won't be long before Bobby Kotick is turning up at your house, taking a dump on your doorstep and then charging you to clean it up for him.
"Now we’ve got Modern Warfare 2/Black Ops and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 being the most played multiplayer shooters. They both just have teams shoot at each other for about 10 minutes, and then tally the deaths."
Clearly never played a game of Battlefield BC2 in his life. The only deathmatch mode is squad deathmatch, where you have 4v4v4.. etc. Given the non linear Team 1 Vs Team 2, it requires some pretty good teamwork to win. Then the standard modes aren't abo...
Looks alright. I don't see why people get hyped about graphics personally. I only watched the videos for the gameplay because even if something looks good, it might play terrible.
Really the only thing that interests me is gameplay and I think the Frostbite 2 engine is going to make that aspect a winner. Throw in dedicated servers on the 360 to minimise lag and I think I'm looking at the greatest console shooter created to date.
I'd like to see the successor to dark souls, whatever that may be.
Gears 4 = Pendulum Wars?
Seems to be a good direction to take it in.
The problem with 'DLC' now is either it's cut content (see Gears 2) or made by another development studio (see CoD Games). As a result the DLC is of poor quality and not justified by the price.
If From Software was responsible for making the DLC, and it was released some time after the game release (so clearly not cut), then there is a good chance I would purchase it because I have a feeling it wouldn't be rubbish. If it followed suit of most dlc though (cut c...
Battlefield Killcam: Oh look there's a camper.
2 Mins Later:
*Destruction 2.0 kill*
Modern Warfare KillCam: Oh look there's a camper.
Next life, flank behind:
*XXCamperXX has been killed*
Campfests? I think not. Your just bad at the game, there is no external justification.
I'm 99.99% sure a sleeper hit can't be overrated. It's a great game, deal with it.
I'm pretty sure video games don't need saving as they are a bigger industry than both films and music.
@Dead_eye: I like the 'In a true zombie apocalypse..' as if it's a conceivable real life phenomenon.
Except this: "Though you won’t be able to drop buildings on enemy’s heads in BF3, you will still be able to kill them with falling debris from destroyed walls or structures."
Perhaps you should read the article. This is a quote from it.
"Though you won’t be able to drop buildings on enemy’s heads in BF3, you will still be able to kill them with falling debris from destroyed walls or structures."
"Though you won’t be able to drop buildings on enemy’s heads in BF3, you will still be able to kill them with falling debris from destroyed walls or structures."
Worst. Mistake. Ever. Dice. BFBC2 does well because bringing down structures is fun. Hell, most of the time it's crucial. All you had to do was move the M-Com Stations outside of the completely destructible buildings (into containers/bunkers wherever) and then you could have left the destructability in....
There are good games to be found in the traditional zombie hack/slash/shoot, and dead island has both free roam and RPG elements in the game which is mostly new for zombie games and will be awesome.
I do however understand where you are coming from though, a true survival horror game would be awesome and there hasn't really been one released this generation. One where ammo is so limited that having a gun feels like a blessing, where you have to find shelter during the nig...
We never saw ghosts face. It could have easily not been ghost who died. His name is even 'Ghost', maybe IW are hinting at his return with his name as well. Seriously though, Ghost's character just screams 'jesus like resurrection imminent'.
People need to learn to read.
"The gist of it is that Microsoft has some very strict policies on what they're willing to publish on retail discs or on Xbox Live Arcade, and if it arrives on a Sony platform first or has more content on a Sony platform, Microsoft won't publish it."
What this means is that if DLC/Content arrives first on the PS3 OR with more content, then it might not be published on Xbox Live.
The important ...
One's I believe are missing:
Ghost and Roaches death MW2, where the hell are these? I wanted to kill Shepard so much after that scene. Hell, I even got a text after my housemate got to that point just saying SHEPARD WILL DIE, and I knew straight away where he was.
The second one missing is the dog's death from Fable 2. I don't think I need to explain why.
Isn't it possible that those innocent players are playing on preowned consoles, i.e. they don't know the consoles history? As a result some sort of tampering may have been made to the console before they bought it which caused it to be banned.
Just a thought.
