No its nothing like the fallout games. Similar backdrops but that's about it. Metro is a more hardcore survival type FPS that really, really gets you counting your ammo. Both good games in their own right however they play and feel completely different.

Heck even my 2 year old business laptop that can't play games very well due to a crappy grfx card has 6gb of ram. My first pc had 512kb of ram, it's amazing when you think about how fast it's all grown up. God I love technology. I wonder how long it will be until ram is measured in terabytes.

I'm the opposite, it works fine in my laptop (courtesy of adblock plus) but it crashes my phone browser. I've also noticed that I can't close the popups ads lately, they just hover over what I'm trying to read. I'm not a fan of this site.
I had that sense of speed playing pgr, that was a fantastic game. Today is the first time I'd heard it was only 30fps. I suppose it's all down to the developers and how well they can interpret that sense of speed using experience.

Yeah the single player was pretty lacking. There were some awesome parts to it too but they just seemed to end too quickly.
For me Killzone shines the brightest with multiplayer. I got my copy a couple of weeks after the PS4 dropped and its still my go to game for FPS multiplayer. Its just so easy to change the flow of gameplay with 1 cleverly placed spawn beacon. The classes to me seem nicely balanced and with teamwork it can be quite epic.
Yeah i agree, this is really sad news if true. Doom has always been one of those special games ever since i played the first one back in school. Ill keep my fingers crossed for ID, i really dont want this franchise to die.
