Although blurays are less prone to scratches, when scratched, they are completely ruined opposed to DVDs that can be resurfaced.
This game will both look and run great on 360, so no worries here.
Who wouldn't want to play this? Never?
You all are a heartless bunch.
As if marketing doesn't cost any money.
Or maybe, they just have no idea HOW TO.
All of these years and only 25 million? I thought they had at least double that.
Poor devs.
LOL. Just messing. Game looks good can't wait.
The title should read "Multi-platform" and not Cross-platform, two totally different things.
Shadownrun, Final Fantasy XI, Universe at War: Earth Assault, and Lost Planet 1 Colonies Edition are the only cross-platform titles I know of.
LOL... Yeah, good point.
@Fox
Actually, Gears 1 models matches the look of LP2 better than Gears 2's models. That's why I think Cliff chose those instead of Gears 2's models. Although, the polygon count of Gears 2's models are higher with more detail it gave the models a more cartoony look to them.
@dirthurts
It's true, Gears 2 models have a higher polygon count and more detail. It's shown to you in the Gears 2 CE bonus disc.
@Dark
Yeah. I still look at my LP1 copy on the shelf with admiration. The multiplayer, the epic explosions(too beautiful to be on a game so early in 360's lifecycle) and the final Mech fight in space. A Mech game that was actually playable and good. How can anyone NOT like this game.
The story was obviously Japanese(nothing against them) and the characters in the cutscenes were laughable but no one can deny this game had lots and lots of polish, regardless of the ty...
@Troll
The aiming system might be similar but at the same time, nothing like it. You couldn't move while aiming in RE4 and the way the buttons were mapped, it felt like a chore. Why its compared? Well, they're both 3rd person. Other than that they aren't the same.
And on top of Gears taking the cover system and making it their own(with polish and perfection), what made it unique was how simple it was to use. A simple press & release of the A button made you s...
"Seems many of you didn't get Gears of War at launch. The game was equally as buggy and broken when it first launched."
No it wasn't.
There was a few glitches some players annoyingly kept trying to do, e.g. the chainsaw glitch, out of map glitch, etc., but that was months later, got reported on Xbox live and still got fixed afterwards. http://www.youtube.com/watc... <...
Indeed.
Has it ever occurred to you fanboys that we might be interested in what Microsoft has offer?
From the looks of all the fanboy rants and fits, Sony might have played their hand too early.
Game on gamers, and flame on fangirls.
It will be a fantastic conference and year for Microsoft. Can't wait what's in store from the big M.
@real gamers, remember... Haters gonna hate.
It's your opinion, many would disagree though. It's a great game, regardless of platform.
Good job to everyone involved. Hopefully, gamers interested in getting the PS3 version can still enjoy this great game. (Gamesradar still scored this game a 10 on ps3)
Forget you all. I liked LP1, alot. It was a fun game all around in both single and multiplayer. I also enjoyed LP2's demo.
The author was reaching in the first pic comparison... DE's looks way better and much more detailed. In gameplay however... Gow has a slight edge.
When it says "Live", it's usually just achievements and most-likely access to DLC in-game. Crysis for example, is GFW but not "live" so it didn't offer achievements yet you could play online.
