Bunch of sexist begrudgers on here. Of course, the first comment and the prevailing wind here is that she must have only for the job for any reason other than talent. Don't pretend you'd have had the same reaction if this person were a man.
As if she didn't go through an application process and have to submit a portfolio for a creative position. As if Corey Barlog, a heretofore acclaimed director, suddenly let his standards slip just to hire a "cute" girl to his...
Dr. Su has absolutely turned their fortunes around. There was a conspicuous lack of ray tracing performance numbers however, which may line up with the rumours that it only matches the 2080 Ti in that regard. Also note that it lacks a true competitor to DLSS, with Super Resolution seemingly not being mature enough to reveal and likely not available at launch. So it's a great victory for most use cases, but without the same future focus that Nvidia has banked on.
343i have become notably mired in rumours of mismanagement, a lack of team cohesion and a resulting general failure to get things done. Apparently there's an extremely toxic atmosphere and projects tend to stagnate while people at the top shuffle around and try to push things in too many different directions. Before the the game was last delayed, there were many rumblings from inside the company that the game was in a desperately unfinished state and had been direction less for a long tim...
Let Raven make a new Heretic/Hexen entry. The time is right, Doom is back with a vengeance and loads of other retro shooters are trying to fill the void.
Yeah, it's about time they acquiesce to the reality that FF is really not for a general audience. The most successful SP games this gen are all squarely in the T or M rating category anyway, they might as well embrace the darker tones in their games.
As echoed above, it's not only factual but quite clear that Kojima directed it. Every following game in the series has the same "for kids" action and tone. It's what he wanted to begin with, but was reined in by hardware limitations. It's not fine art, it's schlocky Tom Clancy with a dash of X-Files conspiracy beats, by way of John Woo (and we love it). Take off the rose tinted glasses for a minute.
Yeah, it's comparable to the Switch's first year lineup, if not better. However, with all that's going on in the world, it remains to be seen how many of these games actually make it out within that first year. Fingers crossed!
No there wasn't, there was just a slightly more even distribution of annoying fanboys from Xbox and Sony camps. I've been here since the site was in beta (2005?) and the news sites were split between PS3, 360 and Wii. You guys just have skewed vision because you think any dissenting opinion is an "infestation." No wonder there's a prevalence of weird fascist opinion on here XD You guys talk like you won some sort of war and that justifies you being shitty to everyone. It...
If you needed more proof than your eyes and ears because you live in a strange delusional bubble world (aka n4g), here's DF's analysis that says exactly what I just said. Or are they lying too? There are also numerous forum posts from actual users noting the phenomenon as well.
It has well noted frame-pacing issues, even when supposedly hitting 30FPS. Not every frame is coming back on time, leading to a very choppy presentation that doesn't improve on the Pro (beast mode), unfortunately.
It really shows that the XIV team are behind this, recognized a few voices and all. Really looking forward to this, the story in XIV is one of the best in the series. I hope there's more party based gameplay, however. I'd hate to think this is a single character affair.
All of these articles are like "but what about their imaginary audience of idiots? I'm not confused, but the stupid sub-species that I imagine roam the earth en masse and uneducated will end up buying their equally stupid child an Xbox 360 and thus ruin Christmas! SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!"
If people have no issues navigating iPhone/Samsung SKUs, they won't have any problems here. All this really tells me is that game bloggers have a superior...
DLSS 2.0 looks great in motion, and keeps more detail than native rendering. I think your info and experience is a little outdated, this has been confirmed by many different sources, including DF and HUB.
I agree, I'd prefer to see grander leaps in AI and physical interactivity. I miss some of the messy explorations of those ideas back in the 7th gen, which would be far more advanced by now if there was more investment in processing power than purely graphical fidelity and resolution.
It's easily the single biggest improvement that can be made to a game now, graphically. On PC at least. We already have 4k and SSDs (once they start optimising games for them it might be a bit better). It is just getting started, and the consoles will only have token support for it, sadly. In the next 2-3 years it will vault in prominence on PC as more powerful hardware arrives. It doesn't cost much to adopt, you set a light and let the physics simulation do the rest (we already have ...
This could be the best launch year lineup ever.

Yeah, my PULSE 3D headset has been moved forward to the 12th (Irish retailer).

He left the VR world to focus on AI, actually. We need him now more than ever, in that case.

Well, I got my PS5 preorder, so... disaffected shrug?
