You can play your PC on the couch if you want. Controller or keyboard and mouse. That's not a PC problem, that's a you problem...
I really didn't predict Capcom would turn it around this gen (or ever), but they're almost back! The only places where they seem to lag now are in their fighting games and the lack of the new IPs. But I'm sure the money they'll make from RE2 will help them hit their stride again.
Why would you actively want other notable and excellent developers to fail, in order for Sony to become more dominant? Oh that's right. Abject fanboy-ism. Get a grip.
*Brunt, not blunt.
I did snicker at the idea of Activision rocking a giant blunt made of hate, though.
@Mike
His sentiments are too young even for a millenial. He's more likely post-millenial, or "Generation Z" as they're often called. I'm a millenial.
So you're OK with Onimusha literally being shoved out the door unchanged, but this one is a step too far for you? Your post history says it all. You're a hypocritical contrarian who thinks far too highly of his trite little opinions. Grow up.
The whole concept is literally ripped off from a Japanese book (adapted to manga, anime and movie) called Battle Royale. Right down to the shrinking zones with gas. If anyone deserves to sue it's the author.
You might have the Street Fighter 3 problem, in that case. People did not warm to SF3 until 3rd Strike, because initially the only returning character was Ryu. They should try and avoid the Namco scenario, though (rarely diverging from the core roster).
I agree with a lot of these. Cage/Sonya/Kano/Jax are all pretty boring, IMO. Ferra/Tor too. Ermac is pretty cool, though, and the arcade endings are not always canon. Liu Kang has all the character of dry wall, but he is a fan favourite. Mileena is somewhat beloved by many, but canonically dead.
I think we can all agree that Stryker should never be mentioned again.
This is often the reasoning/excuse, but the reality speaks to a very different reason. These people are handed golden parachutes when a company dives or goes in to free-fall, and they still get another gig steering some other company astray for the same money or more. It's very much a case of being in the big boys club: once you're in, you're in. You need not be held accountable for your screw ups. The employees and shareholders will bear the impact instead, while you receive a bo...
I presume you're referring to quality games, because this is polished beyond belief and oozes quality, unlike the premium priced Early Access we get drip fed today.
This game plays exactly like a modern game as well, so I have no idea what you're referring to. I'm guessing you either didn't play it or you're a 7 year old fortnite fanatic, in which case it's both.
... those things you mentioned have more in common with games of the past than the modern era. Except the BR, of course.
They were afraid to give it low marks in case they seemed "uncool", most likely because they probably didn't understand why the first game was so great. They probably didn't even like Dark Souls. This also explains why everything that's hard to them is the "Dark Souls of {genre}".
Yeah, they've just about managed to match the now 2 year old 1080 ti, without undercutting it in any way. This card needed to be $500 to disrupt the market in any meaningful way, but why not just join Nvidia in the race to price-gouging bottom?
Wow, AI upscalers are really revolutionizing HD retextures. They keep the original artwork intact; most attempts at high res retexturing end up looking awful.
I hope someone does the original Quake this way too!
I was literally going to post the same thing in response. GET OUTTA MY HEAD!
You leave PC gamers outta this :p
It very much CAN play those games, it simply MAY not. There is nothing stopping a developer from porting those games beyond contractual obligations and exclusivity deals. They're even already on x86, it wouldn't be much of an effort.
You have no idea what you're talking about, and you either don't have a switch or you only play smaller games. It most certainly has load times, and load times are often obscured by cutscenes or animations.
Load times and loading are not merely determined by how fast you can offload data from storage to memory. Often, that data needs to be decompressed, converted in to more useable formats, shaders need to be compiled or retrieved from cache, and many other processe...
@nommers as a fan of gaming, delicious is absolutely right. FFXV got a bit of a pass, while lacking polish and a great deal of content on release. It still lacks much of that, and SE have decided (rightly) to pull the plug. It's a 6/10, a 7/10 at best, especially when you consider its pedigree. The director resigned (most likely) because of the mess. Type 0 is a better game but a technical mess on HD consoles, it needed more work too. I do not have high hopes for the FFVII remake at this ...
