With Drew Murray leaving prematurely it really did affect the development of the game. Considering he worked at CD at one point. A CD partnership is not crazy surprising considering MS history with them. Still out of left field though.
They've been doing XP boosters in Halo for over 10 years now. Nothing new or out of the ordinary like Geoff Keighle's infamous sponsorship. Regardless, it take allot less time to implement XP boosts than making a fully engaging campaign with Co-op.
Two different worlds.
Because allot of MS studios are vastly unproven besides the Bethesda stuff. Anything that's not Bethesda is too. Much of a gamble for Disney and MS. It's best that MS just focuses on their own games first then once (or hopefully) they build a positive track record they can work with Marvel or DC.
I remember back in either 06 or 07 MS wanted a Marvel MMO universe of some kind but it never came through for whatever reason. MS could try but Sony has the developer, good will with Marvel in the movie sector. So naturally, the video game sector of Sony will have those same ties.
MS has no ties with Marvel in that way. I guess MS could throw money at them again. MS could try and poach a DC developer for an exclusive Batman or Superman game. I can see that.
It's clear E3 they unloaded everything now they're just treading water. They shouldn't attend if they have no new announcements. MS needs to save time and resources for shows they planning on showing stuff at.
Halo is a dying franchise? It's not my all time favorite game either but I wouldn't say it's dying because you don't like it.
Sure they can't directly take credit but MS did advertised it very well for Sony. Because why would MS want the game to fail? It's an Xbox studio after all.
Sure they can't directly but MS did advertised it very well for Sony PS5. Because why would MS want the game to fail? Lol it makes them look bad. As well.
Congrats to Arkanes and Bethesda. Not sure why some were doubting Arkane when they're known to release good games. They dont have a bad game under their belt.
I have to agree. Looking back on Sony's conference they really did kill it. Everyone seems to overlook that Sony has 4 massive exclusives in 2022 Forbidden West, GT7, Forspoken and ending it with GoW. Guess what Spider-Man 2 probably early 2023. So the ball will continue to roll and the onslaught will continue on. If this was any other day the article wouldn't be to bad but of course it's right after the PS showcase, it's like they couldn't help themselves.
"Dense?, insult a system for no reason? , what insult?, I mean damn just stop it seriously , we are getting to a point that society we no longer will be able to speak our opinions "
These are just opinions now? Auto pointed out that 90% of your post in regards to PS and Xbox you always downplay or troll Xbox hard. Nice deflection it isn't an opinion at this point it's all called bias. Do I really have to go through your comment section it would be super ea...
Apparently you can play it in 3rd person as well.
Sorry but comparing Sony's past shows through out the year this is one of their weakest. As the gen goes on their shows will get better and Sony will be in rare form as usual but this isn't the end all be all show. The Marvel stuff is a master class in putting Sony console a must own, must buy undeniable purchase just like Spiderman PS4 did. But that won't happen until 2023 and Wolverine a few years after that. Sony did say they had 25 games in the works, while I wasn't expec...
Easily Better than all of 3rd party edged out Nintendo by quite a bit. I'd say they barely were on par with MS If it wasn't for Insomniac they would easily had a sub par show. They went from sub par to a good show. The best show of 2021 is just fanboy talk I don't think anyone can agree with that.
Insomniac is what saved it. I've already mentioned in other threads Insomniac is great and have a work rate second to none (Platinum games lvl) but we'll be waiting for those games starting with Spider-Man in 2023 and Wolverine a year or so after. System seller Marvel bangers but we'll be waiting, the same waiting and CG stuff everyone hates rags on MS for. In which I agree if we hate it when everyone else does it then we have ding Sony for it to.
Same, I hope Sony restarts that project. The concept sounds very compelling. Corey knows he's long overdue for something new.
Not doubting anything. There's no doubting Insomniac at this point in their career and reputation that's just goofy. I'm talkin about how these games are far out and showed CG how we all agreed industry wide as a collective we don't like CG and far release dates.
So I guess we're gonna gloss over the fact the game won't be releasing AFTER Spider-Man 2 in 2023? In could be in 24 or 25 when it releases. Great announcements. I thought we all agreed we don't like to wait or when publishers show CGI trailers?
It's possible that they could be spreading themselves too thin, I hope now but they've been firing off on all cylinders lately.
TI said they wanted to stay a small team. They have about 60 people total which is extremely small for AAA game. IMO their size is backfiring on them on top of the main creative lead leaving. CD can definitely speed up the process and help them with direction.
At this point they need to do whatever it takes to make the game good. I rather them have help than to remain quiet, struggle, release a bad game and damage control why it was bad game further embarrassing themselves....
