They were clear that it was a case by case basis. So Remasters, legacy titles etc.
Realistically it was probably by choice. They're trying to manage system resources and Noe that the sdk's have matured enough they're Abel to implement the 4k dashboard with out potentially taking away any resources from the games.
In all honesty that was my biggest concern for me by far.
I bet you wouldn't be saying that when Sony finally implements Quick Resume to PS5 in the future.
"GP is the reason outriders developers didn't get any bonuses. If it wasn't on GP it would have sold 1-2 million"
Source?
MS is paying the publish/developers either, the portion of what the game cost to make, or paying a portion of the difference in what the game is projected to sale. GP is definitely not withholding royalties in fact it has nothing to do with gamepass at all considering they met their sales mark.
"Considering there are millions of Xbox consoles out there tho, my hunch is Gamepass."
No, it's not gamepass at all. If you read the article its Box copies or physical copies. Since it's on Gamepass less Xbox players are buying physical and just downloading it. Same exact scenario with Dark Alliance where 90% bought the game on PS physical copies.
The writer himself literally backed up his own evidence and answered his own question.
How the hell does MS expect ppl to play all these games? Obviously you'll play what interests you but this is getting a bit overwhelming imo.
I'll be playin Infinite this holiday.
Who cares about that? What about overhauling the Upload Studio, more tweaks to Quick Resume for efficiency and stability?
"Though I do seem to remember hearing some of the folks at Remedy say that they'd love to make a sequel, so I'm not sure."
I heard the Same thing I dunno what the hold up is. Maybe it's their investors? That doesn't make any sense because this isn't Activision, Ubisoft or EA they believe in single player games. Perhaps the demand for the game in the grand scheme of things isn't that big.
If they announce a new Wolfenstein for 2022 that would be the most stacked Bethesda line up ever.
The X will be 4k in 60fps in performance mode. The The S will be 1080 at 60.
The X1 will be 1080 30/4k 30 on 1X
"No. Just because it could run on the 1X does not mean it could run on the Xone."
Yes it does. They're last gen systems bro.
"The one x will undoubtedly be able to run whatever series S can run."
Sure if it's cross gen. You'll be able to play Horizon 5 and Infinite on 1X since it's cross gen. If you think you'll be able to HBII on 1X you're in for a rude, RUDE awakening. All you have to do is...
"All the xbox one x needs is an ssd drive along with a system update that could potentially make the console benefit from one. possibly anyways."
They stopped production of the
1X. It's never gonna happen and nobody will waste time doing it.
"Im well aware about those games coming out only on the series consoles but the series s isnt more powerful than the xbox one x. It was so clear to me from the start that I was excited to be a...
"In other words the Xbox one X could play all next gen games...but Microsoft decided to say no just because."
Redfall, Fable, perfect Dark, Avowed etc are only on Series X|S. HB1 is a last gen game obviously. In what world do you think the 1X can play next gen games?
That brings confidence that Hellblade 2 possibly be teased or shown off in the near future. Here's hoping Gamescom.
"You’ll get in-depth updates from some of our previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles alongside some of our third-party partners"
State Of Decay 3, HBII, Perfect Dark Avowed, Everwild and Fable are Xbox Game Studios. I doubt all these games are being shown off.
Perfect Dark and Avowed have a slightly better chance of being shown off in some way seeing how they're further along in development. I'm depth look on some of their previo...
"I buy a 500 plus dlls console for a promise of a next gen game experience, I don't receive so any of that so far,"
With that logic then take back your PS5 and dont have any new console. Ragnarok, GT7 and Horizon will be on PS4 as well. Won't have true next gen experiences according to what you're saying. Does your logic still hold up? Or are you changing it now?
"the jump between last gen to a totally next gen title that Halo Infinite is supposed to be."
It's definitely not a totally next gen title it was teased for the first time in 2018 for the X1. It's still very much a X1 title. It can't be totally next gen if it's on last gen console.
Infinite will be mediocre based off of what exactly? Because it's on last gen console? That makes no sense. So far everyone loves the mp portion ...
If I remember there was heavy speculation that the main reason why MS bought out Bethesda, was To keep Amazon and Google from potentially snatching them up. Amazon is said to be struggling hard to get teams together to make a proper exclusive game. The next best thing would be to buy a highly rated studio to make games for them like a Bethesda or WB Games. Instead of building a long and expensive venture such as a studio.
@Dark they made 2.3 billion from software and memberships. Xbox in total has made 15.7 billion in revenue. Xbox gamepass played a large part in increasing sales and revenue.
You gotta do research man.
There's a few things here.
1. Sony has allot in the works and many projects that are being developed. Next year will be a great year for PS5 with all their exclusives. At the moment things are still to early to announce anything, if they did have a showcase and announce things it would be far out and Sony would have to opt to CG trailers in which nobody likes. All, in all their newer projects are just too early to show off right now, it's in the early stages.
