Something like Silent Hill, but instead it's a writer dude who goes on vacation to some small town and his tales turn into reality.
It looks like it's a great story full of suspense and mystery. It's probably also inspired by some great suspense and horror movies like Misery and The Ring. Should be a great game.

Alan Wake is a horror action game where a writers books come to life and attack him, it's full of shooting and supernatual elements
There's no comparison other than fanboys needed to compare because both games were said to blow you away and both were surrounded by mystery, meaning no one knew anything about them.
I always got pissed off how they compared games we knew nothing about.
This game is just trying to be real. It has everything, it's not just a typical video game. It's all about the story and how you control it.
That girl is obviously tying to be undercover to get information.
Lets say you don't do this part right and you don't look as good, you probably don't get as far as you need to. But the game still continues a little differently.

Amazing looking game. And like I've said, probably my most anticipated game now on any console.
I don't want to sound childish but that game almost brings a tear to me, it's all about the creature.
But me personally, I don't see myself enjoying throwing punches as my TV or pretending that I'm holding an imaginary steering wheel in my hands.
Maybe this is great to other people but I'm not too interested.

The new trailer does look better and more polished.
Microsoft's press conference doesn't look so impressive. Metal Gear Rising is multi and personally PS3's eye toy motion sensor controller looked more fun to me than Project Natal.

Left 4 dead 2 is coming in 2009, that's like literally a year in development to a game that already had below average graphics, I don't think you're looking at anything ground breaking in Left 4 dead 2
Then there were Halo spinoffs and expansions or whatever.
Hopefully one day they deliver on the FFVII remake everyone wants.
That's maybe the only way to make up for FFXIII going multi.
But right now, I'm still not cool with Square Enix just because of this.
