and releases this exclusivley to PS3 in Japan first, you can probably slash atleast 1 million off XBOX 360's 8 million console lead.
capture one of the best parts or something, it would help the game sell or maybe not.
Demo's can also take the suspense away. I think a demo can work both ways. For example I played the demo of "WET" and now I know that game F*cken blows and I will never touch it again.
There's always risk in releasing a demo, but if you can put something impressive together, it can maybe help and unknown game get noticed.
With Heavy Rain, I say go for it...
Because I'm one of the heaviest supports of Motion control is a total gimmick
But I can totally see this working for Heavy Rain. It's a story driven game that looks to be very interactive.
I guess.
EDIT: Not that I care about anything XBOX.
I think they'll sell more than 3000 consoles.
The PS3 had a bad design in my opinion that didn't make it very popular to consumers. I think the PS3 needed a redesign.
The 360 doesn't have that problem, it already looks like a game console, it looks like what it needs to be.
That's the difference the PS3 needed a redesign, the 360 design works already.
I just don't see it, "OMG a 360 Slim".
Take it however you want, but I just think the 360 design works already that's w...
I'm having troubling getting excited at all for that game, but that could all change once they actually start showing the game.
The price cuts aren't all that major either.
But if "25 reasons to ditch Sony" got approved, I feel it would be hypocritic not to approve this.
How much is this is US dollars? The ELITE MODEL use to be only E249??
Didn't the PS3 just drop to E299??
So even with this 1 hundred dollar price drop from Sony, the PS3 was still E50 more than 360 Elite? And now it's gonna be E100 more than 360?
Dang...
So before all this price cuts stuff, PS3 use to be E399 and Microsofts most expensive sku the 360 Elite was E249?? Man....
PS3 fans have more pride than Common sense.
Understand I'm worried. This seems all too familiar. This looks a lot like 2007 when PS3 got a price cut fall 2007 and started beating 360 worldwide, that lasted till about mid 2008, when XBOX 360 got a major price cut and Sony did nothing for over a year and the gap grew to well over 8 million units worldwide.
This isn't enough for me, I'm still feeling the last 14 months.
Already I'm expecting the same ...
The last time I saw decent advertisement for PS3 was during Fall 2007, when they were with those octopus commercials and the $399 price tag all over them.
I expect the same thing this year, plenty of commercials and $299 all over. And now they have a logo also. No more spiderman font crap.
It's not only the price cut, the redesign is also helping.
Some might disagree but I thought the PS3 needed one. (pretty bad)
But I'm already warning, watch for the XBOX 360 to be getting price cuts and by next year be $100 cheaper than PS3 again.
PS3 is almost 9 million behind, they can't afford to let 360 keep that big of a price advantage.
Right now it's all good. But I'm already thinking a year or two ahead, and how is PS3 really gonna catch up?
Because this seems like a repetitive story, PS3 gets price cut, starts cutting into 360's lead, 360 gets price cut, starts w...
I saw that 25 reasons to ditch Sony article in the failed department but to my shock I just came to N4G right now and saw it in the front page again with 250 comments.
Maybe it's time for me to start ditching N4G because they're starting to allow spam in order to fire up fanboys or something.
That 25 reasons article is just ridiculous. If you look at the article rating on the actual website it came from, it has rating of 1 star out of 5 and everyone on there is j...
But I would rather play is safe and assume that an XBOX 360 Elite at $199 will still be hot by Christmas 2010 especially if PS3 is still $299 by then.
As far as the XBOX 360 Arcade model being $199 right now, I don't know... It's just my feeling that no one really sees that as the real XBOX 360. It's not the same to me.
This is a price war, and we've seen the PS3 do well before when they get a price cut.
The problem is Microsoft has been winning this price war, I think with both consoles at $299 sales in US will be close and in Europe and Japan, PS3 should have the advantage.
I think PS3 will close in on 360 for a while but the question is will it last. Microsoft is desperate to squeeze the PS3 and I wouldn't put it over them to manage to cut the price of XBOX Elite to $199 by t...
What do people have against PS3 and 360 costing the same?? 360 fans can't take it.
Like I've always said, it's not so much that the 360 is badass, as much as it keeps ducking under PS3 with a huge price advantage.
360 fans are spoiled now, it's only been a couple of days. Imagine how PS3 fans feel? Their console was at $399 for over a year while 360 had a $199 sku.
Imagine Sony wouldn't have made this huge mistake of pricing the PS3 the way they di...
I use to say "NO" the press doesn't hate the PS3, Sony fanboys are overreacting, it's not the press's fault that the PS3 is an over priced 360 clone.
I take it all back after watching some of the articles react to the PS3 slim, articles like "a Slim PS3 won't save Sony" and "Skip the PS3 and buy yourself a Sony PC with blu ray instead" <--- I think that was the low point.
I can't defend these guys now, a lot of the press have bee...
I hope there's a shower scene.
