Totally daft idea.
MS would never allow Sony to benefit from their superior infrastructure. Yes thats correct, superior infrastructure.
Many people are complaining about the cost of the separate kinect. MS is most likely subsidising the cost to encourage consumers to buy the full package. The kinect isn't just some eyetoy clone.
Also, what do you reckon the VR headset for PS4 is gonna cost ya? It'll be way more than $150 I can guarantee you that.
Force is a bit strong.
More like encourage people to buy the full package.
Sony would do the exact same thing.
Urgh!
Looks like something I vomited up last night.
If you're gonna play this, get some decent hardware.
I'm sure this vr tech will look great. But most of you are totally missing the biggest issue and that is price.
I really don't see how the price can be kept at a mass market appealling price. If sony wants this to be a game changer they either launch in a year or two when it'll cost a fortune to manufacture and then subsidise the cost of each set. Or wait several years when the manufacturing cost drops quite a bit by which time nobody will give a rats ass.
What is this?
A kind of Elite game?
@ATi_Elite
Lazy proof reading too ;-)
@jukins
PC developers do not need to optimise for millions of different builds. They target a specific performance level for basic up to ultra type display levels. Plus they usually leave the optimising of the game down to the gamer. They can mess about with the settings and find the best setup for their own machines.
They were deprived that much needed attention as young children.
As Darth Vader once said, "impressive".
Why are people on here arguing over whether its a hack or DDoS? Either way it stops legitimate people going about their legitimate business.
@thejigisup
You'd certainly care a lot more if the info was all about you.
Yeah you're so right. Apparently 5 million imaginary boxes have walked out of stores around the world.
As much as I loved JC2, Red Dead still gets the nod from me.
@Hellsvacancy.
That article does not strictly say the cloud will improve XB1 graphics.
It says by off-loading computational work to the cloud, this will help improve the xb1 graphically.
This could very easily mean by leaving more resources available to the locally based xb1, it can use these to improve the graphics at a local level.
There is always more than one way to skin a cat my friend.
@Heavy
I think its a little unfair to label people as fanboys just because they have a different point of view to your own.
You clearly enjoy Playstation and that is totally fine. You can praise it's virtues and again that's totally fine.
Just remember this forum of views is meant to wide ranging so you really should be more accepting.
I say this as a massive gaming fan. The title of this article is truly clutching at straws.
Seriously.
Do people actually get paid to write this rubbish?
I'm in the wrong job.
Clueless?
I like new features for any console.
However, why aren't people considering the part of the article which mentions lag?
A lot of PS4 owners were very quick too point out, and quite rightly so, that lag could cause major issues on games for XB1. So they basically dismissed the cloud as a joke.
Now we have this PS4 streaming idea. I'm guessing this is pure P2P, which is a lot more problematic than using a dedicated server. Just think back to how...
You're very welcome.
It's rare that truth gets laughs these days ;-)
