I bought medieval earlier this year when it was on sale for 20. And after the game being out for 20 years I finally beat it and I loved it.

I’ve learned that not all games are meant to be beat right away. But, it’s always nice to have options.

I wonder if we are going to be trivial going forward where people start trying to knock a game on one system over another for loading 1-5 seconds.

Will the new war be “oh madden on my system loads in a second while you have to wait 5 seconds!”

Sigh... I’m going to hate the comment sections

I look at this like the views people had when Cable became a thing and they felt free channels would die. And then when streaming became a thing they thought cable would die. Now it’s thanks to MS having gamepass and exclusives buying games will die.

Problem is, none of the prior things died... they still exist and people still use them. MS isn’t altering the landscape of availability with everything they are doing. They are just finding their own value to capital gains.

My sons are at the age where they will play anything. Learning their taste and the subs save me a ton of money letting them play games I normally wouldn’t buy.

So it’s again finding your balance and if for you it don’t work. Then simply it don’t work

What makes people believe that a service like gamepass will accommodate every gamers desires is pretty silly. I’ve had Gamepass ultimate since it was announced. I’ve still purchased games outside of the service.

I still have humble bundle, PSNow and ps plus, yet I still bought day 1... the last of us 2, ghost of Tsushima, final fantasy 7 r, Avengers and Doom Eternal.

So, the assumption that Sony hasn't been giving people previews of the device were indeed overexaggerated pieces to get people clicking on the internet huh? Go figure....

They already said that all previously announced titles are still coming on PS5. So the star game, Skyrim and other games are still going to PS5. Anything unannounced we won’t see for maybe another 3-5 years. Which if you bought a PS5 and chose not to take full advantage of its library for that time it falls on you

Not sure what makes me a poor soul, I bought the game I own it and play it when I want to. Doesn’t matter to me if the player base on PC dropped. Has no impact on me playing the game or not, and it doesn’t change the fact I already bought it.

Doesn’t matter to me, they already got my money

I’ve never seen anything running at 1440p look as good as this remake does. The quality of the environment details is insane and if that’s what 1440p 60 looks like I’m at a lose for words.

Yet I can’t help but think if this is next gen quality just at the start. What should we expect from God of War? Hell Ratchet and Clank is already setting the paces in an unprecedented manner as well.

I don’t think Gaming Media realizes how much they are gatekeeping people new to gaming with these contrite articles. If a person new to gaming automatically feels like it’s a rip off they won’t invest. And these half baked pieces that puff the smallest thing is flat out discouraging.

People are like parrots and they just repeat what they are told/taught. So, if anything gaming media continues to kill gaming as opposed to help develop it

There’s nothing to talk about on Sony side because you can buy any compatible 3rd party solution. It’s so funny to me how in the past proprietary cards have been seen as anti consumer but now because MS is doing it... it’s allegedly “not that expensive” and “stop complaining”.

It’s either the community is collectively against an issue and want options. Or the community truly is biased and choice doesn’t matter

I remember when I got my Xbox 360 slim and the 5gb model and my bud told me how you don’t even need their branded disk. He told me without the chassis that they would still take a standard 2.5mm hdd. Saved me a whole lot of money, I wouldn’t be surprised if ultimately they take any NVMe and they are just banking on people being naive.

Being somewhere first is only good to the person there alone. It means nothing to those who follow after, we all will eventually have a next gen system. Congrats to him for having a connection to get it early

People really get stuck in their comfort zones of familiarity. So much they believe that that familiarity is the only way to do something. Reality is those people are trapped in time and attempt to stop others progress.

How anyone can disagree with what I said and MS track record in Japan speaks for itself is just sheer fanboyism.

You would have to be under a rock to not acknowledge the poor performance and lack of adaptation MS has had in Japan. At some points it only sold 600 systems in a monthly report.

I honestly can’t think of anything that I would care about from Bethesda to follow to exclusiveness. Maybe if Evil Within 3 was but other then that. I could care less for the rest of their games. I take it back Doom was pretty good, not a system seller for me. But I beat both of the new ones already.

MS isn’t doing a good job of appealing to Japan. Did you see their TGS showcase? Nothing on it screamed “HEY JAPAN, this is for you!” They showed games already announced elsewhere, and nothing that would make Japan feel secure in the device.

Japanese Devs are ALWAYS catering to westerners. But western devs and companies continue to ignore japans interest. Insomniac is the only western studio to make a game that appeals to Japan and it sold amazingly world wide and in Japan...

They talk about importance but all they showed to people in Japan was:

1. They are getting games already announced on other platforms that they are more inclined to buy.
2. No announcements that screamed we take your interest seriously.
3. Minecraft

None of those things showed they take Japans Market seriously. You want to take them seriously? Invest in a game that would interest them and westerners alike... just like how they make game...
