"Since its introduction in June 2012, subscribers have been able to download an array of fantastic titles such as Red Dead Redemption, Batman: Arkham City, Sleeping Dogs and, as of next month, Hitman Absolution."

Man. Europe gets all the good stuff.

I did play it. I was just making a point. But I sold it. Gamestop sells it $5.99, maybe I should get it again......hmmm.....

It's not. You're just being the bigger person by not reporting his article. You both had equally valid opinions, whether misinformed (his words) or not. This will always be something that is being debated. BC would be cool, but ultimately Sony realized something. It's not needed. When they cut BC from the PS3 to lower the price the sales increased. People were still buying PS2s, and PS3s. Sony is figuring the same thing is going to happen here. People are still going to buy the PS...

People require BC because they grew up in this generation. They never played the SNES, or the NES. They don't understand that BC is a really new concept. Just like HD graphics. People think that if something doesn't have amazing graphics it can't be good. They grew up in this generation and don't know anything else.

@DK

While you make some good points let me point out some more.

PS2 VS. Gamecube. Everyone know the PS2 was going to be a better console, and was priced at roughly the same price. It had the best game to. How many people actually bought a PS2 and played PS1 games on it? Probably not many.

GBA/GBC- First, and at the time, only Handheld gaming market. Plus Nintendo had an outstanding reputation at the time.

DS- Same as above...

You know. It's funny you say that. I happen to be working on a Master's degree in Psychology and I was seriously considering using the people on this site in my research thesis. The thesis is on misinterpretation of context of text. (I'm really not kidding) This is actually one site of many I'm considering using.

That was totally off topic. My whole point with that was that you could play the demo to bourne and you would have played the best parts of the game. The game never got better, so what is the reason to buy the full game?

Speaking of which I'm going to see if I can pick it up for .99cents somewhere.

Thank you for actually replying in a respectful manner to someone who's opinion is different than yours. Such a rare thing now a days.

On topic. I agree with you, someone who had absolutely no idea what this game was about would probably think this is a just a boring set of small missions. I also agree that it might have been a better idea for them to just have the online stuff unlocked from the get go, just for the trial, but still have the demo the way it is. I persona...

I personally like being able to play the actual game and not only the highlights. Take for instance the Bourne videogame, The demo was the best parts of the game. You could play the demo and think "oh hey this game is awesome" and than play it an realize it sucks. But if you could play the full game, or even just 30 mins of the full game, you would know it's bad. To many demos show off only the "best" parts. I would rather be able to play the real game and if I don'...

It's so sad Buzzjman used his last bubble already. I would love to see his reply to this.

So by your logic. This must be gargantuan size update. Sine it's now 1200hrs 17 Apr (PST) and it still hasn't been updated.

@DragonKnight

I have thought well about this subject, evidence being the blog, and have shared my thoughts with the gaming community here on N4G. The fact is when a developer does microtransactions right they don't matter. You can still play the game and unlock everything without having to pay a dime over the retail price of the game. But the microtransactions give you choice. Choice of items to fit your play style, because having microtransactions for only a few items is...

You didn't read much of this did you?

"Which could have easily been included in the game without needing a pay wall."

As I stated in the blog: "Games with good microtransactions give you option to earn 90+% of the items without having to spend real money on them."

The point when I said that you don't HAVE to buy them was that you can get everything you could buy by just playing the game, Which: "If the items...

I'm not sure if this is how Bioware did it or not, but this is how I would have done it if I was them. Figure out what happened most often and make that the default. Did more gamers save Wrex or kill him, and did more gamers romance Ashley or Laura? Get a record of these, and bioware could have do it(the just released an infographic on the choices from Me3), and make it the default choice for people who don't import.

What's really interesting when reading this story is that despite the negative reviews of the game, negative tones, and negative reception, some of these "professionals" still tried to defend it even after everyone said it was terrible.

Interesting use of story telling to review a game. And I'm glad that you explained your 10 at the end of the review. IMO a games score should be based partially on how much replay value it has and Micecraft definetly has that replay value.

One slight change I would put, instead of Day one "I chopped down some trees" it's more like Day one "I punched the shit out of some trees until they broke in to small chunks"

The title to this article accurately demonstrates the problems with gammers this generation. "Forget fixing a gameplay problem, look at these graphics!!!!!11!!!" "Look at how pretty this is, sure it's still a little broken but man it sure looks good." Gammers this gen think graphics>Gameplay and that is why videogames are going to fail eventually.
