I think this is really cool. I dislike companies that stop supporting old games, even if they are kind of old. That's why I love Blizzard, for one.

One big difference is that WoW is for 12-year-olds, and GTA is done with a great portion of humour.

There is a huge difference between torture and killing though. A swift kill is out of conflict and necessity. In MOST of those killing cases it was because the individual killed individual would have killed you otherwise!
Torture is just an element that is easy enough to avoid. These are supposed to be sentient, educated mages anyway, there must be an easy way to get them to squeal without having the player torturing them.
Sure, he's a bit loud, but to be fair, I do think that it's kind of unnecessary to glorify torture in an MMO for 12-year-olds.
