Wasn't this game largely financed by the PC crowed, if I'm not mistaken?
If so, shouldn't the developers prioritize the PC version?
It's likely the PC version is ready, waiting for the optimization of the PS4/X1 versions. They could release the PC version November 21, and consoles versions later on.
Title of the article should be:
X1's and PS4's Capability To Run High End Games at 1080p And 60fps is Something That Remains To Be Seen
I honestly don't think Shadow of Mordor is anything special. It's an average open world game, very repetitive.
No, the PS4 is not 349€ in Europe.
Who the hell agreed with you?
Congrats to all console manufacturers. I guess everybody is happy.
As for...
"... despite Microsoft giving away a free game"
Wasn't Sony also giving Destiny away for free? Wasn't the PS4/Destiny bundle $399 (399€ in Europe) during September?
@BiggerBoss
Well in Europe the PS4/Destiny bundle was 399€, don't know about USA. That's why I'm asking.
Of course it's a excuse and a strategic move by Sony to sell more copies of the full version of the game.
The full version works but the PS+ version doesn't? ooookkkkk ... and I'm Saint Nicholas!
Well, Sony fanboys will believe anything Sony's PR department says.
Oh boy, if this was Microsoft...
EDIT:
LOL... below me. Like I said, Sony fanboys will believe anything Sony's PR department says :)
Those games are a year old, so yes, they could start offering those games. Take a look at EA Access.
Microsoft, it's time to "offer" AAA games with Xbox Live Gold to X1 owners...
Gamers are hyping No Man's Sky way too much. Hope I don't see a lot of disappointed people when the game launches...
The most overhyped games this gen have been a disappointment: Destiny, Watch Dogs, Ryse, Killzone, Driveclub, etc.
"Thanks Microsoft!"
Don' be so hasty. If the error was on Sony's side, guess who is going to pay for those free downloaded copies?
Just because they "offer" games with PS+, it doesn't mean I want to play those games. With so many games in my backlog, I refuse wasting my gaming time playing a game that I'm not interested in, simply because it's "offered" with PS+.
As a PS4 owner, PS+ has been a disappointment, rarely "offering" games that I actually want to play.
For the online aspect of PS4/PS+, I honestly don't need it. There are other platforms wher...
Why don't you guys actually read the article before making stupid comments, and find out why Polygon decreased their review score.
Typical fanboys...
Smart move. It's quality exclusives (and I mean real exclusives, not timed exclusives) that sell consoles and not a few more pixels on screen for multiplatform games... well, at least for me, but I might be wrong.
At this moment EA Access is better then PS+ (for PS4) and XBLA Gold (for X1) combined. I wish EA released this service on the PC.
@King_of_Nothing
Wow. You are one dedicated ...
Sure, why not. Don't have a Windows smartphone, but I'll try it on PC.
Do you realize that every game (unless it's a 2d game) needs to be held back to achieve 1080p on both the PS4 and X1. Every game could have better graphics, better effects, look better, if the PS4 and X1 were more powerful machines. Simply put, games achieve 1080p on the PS4 and X1 because developers have to cut corners.
Yes, there are games that look very good at 1080p on the PS4 and X1... but at the end of the day, they could have looked better...
"Report: PS4 Sells 360,000 Consoles in Spain, Seven to One Ratio Between PS4 and Xbox One Sales"
Not surprising. The X1 sells very few units in Europe, exception of the UK. I live in Portugal and never seen an Xbox add on TV, newspapers or magazines (excluding gaming related magazines). Microsoft simply doesn't promote the Xbox in Europe, beside the UK.
Contrary to Microsoft, Sony has quite a few adds on TV. Sony even promotes the PS4 with UEFA...
Looks great.
I wouldn't mind a X1/Sunset Overdrive/Forza Horizon 2 bundle or a X1/Sunset Overdrive/Halo bundle for Christmas.
"Where are the games though?"
Sony is winning due to multiplatform games, not exclusives.
