"Yoshida: I don't understand people who only want AAA"
Is this a excuse because Sony isn't producing as many AAA exclusives for the PS4/Vita as in the time of the PS3/PSP ?
In all honesty, Sony this gen has been relying way too much on indies. There are nice indie titles out there, but what defines a console are it's AAA exclusives.
Developers should answer the question about resolution. Sooner or later we are going to find out.
Anyhow, I think people are putting way to much emphasis on games resolutions. It's just another way to start fanboy wars.
In my my humble opinion I think it's more important if the game and gameplay is good or not, but what the hell... to each their own.

A MOO, with DLC's, micro transactions, incomplete game at launch, future expansions pack's (or addons), etc ... game is starting to stench. There's still a lot of things that's not clear about this game, and we are months away from launch.
PS+ for the PS4 has been quite disappointing so far. I essentially got PS+ for the games that normally come with it, not for the multiplayer.
I don't have Games with Gold, but the games offered until now seem to be in the same boat as PS+.
I hope one company or the other starts pushing for better games... and see if at least one of those services improve.
Some people have way too much money to spare. They don't mind buying the same games, two, three, four times. As for TLOU, I've already played it on the PS3, so no way in hell would I purchase the same game again for the PS4.
I bet companies like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Square Enix, etc, really love those gamers that buy the same game several times.

I guess people don't remember Sony's cheaper Platinum/Essential editions of games, witch basicly is the same thing. They bash Microsoft, but Sony does something similar. Fanboys really are dumb as door knobs. * shakes head *
50 Expansion Packs for The Sims 4 is not nearly enough for me. I'll only purchase Sims 4 if it has at least a 100 Expansion Packs, 20€ each.

I've never seen someone that has absolutely no interest in the console (X1), comment on so many articles related to that console. Must be a love-hate relationship. Quite the troll you are.
As for Alien Isolation, if they achieve 1080p/60fps on the PS4 and X1, then it's good for everyone.
Tell you a little secret... every company reports shipped products, including Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc. It's impossible for them to know exactly how many units they really sold. Stop being so naive.

As for the devs preference on PS4, that's entirely up to them. They feel they will sell more on the PS4, then go for it... Having limited resources, it makes sense to go for the larger install base.

Why should anyone care besides Activision or Bungie? That $500 million number come out as a marketing campaign. The $500 million didn't help EA's Star Wars MMO.
Microsoft's X1 didn't have any price drop. They launched a Kinectless X1 at $399. The X1 with Kinect is still at the same price. If Microsoft was smart enough the would have dropped the X1's price.
Price drop is what Sony did within the first year of the PS3's launch, witch dropped the price by $200.

Microsoft really screwed up the beginning of the X1's life-cycle, and now they will have a though time catching Sony's PS4 sales. They are selling a weaker console at the same price as their main competitor. That's quite simply bad business. One other thing is that the X1 has a bad reputation, and that's another though thing to crack. I don't think Microsoft can catch up, mainly because they don't have the smarts to do so... unless they start throwing money around and ...

I buy consoles for it's exclusives. I got a PS4 when Infamous released, and until now I have only played Infamous and Resogun with it. I've regretted purchasing it so soon for quite a few times already... went after the hype. Should have waited another year or so, would have a much better deal.
I also got with my PS4 a year of PS+. What a disappointment it is (until now) for PS4 games. Hope it improves in the near future or else I won't be playing multiplayer game...

Releasing Bungie was one of the biggest mistakes Microsoft has ever done. If they left Bungie alone to make any game they wanted, Destiny would be exclusive to Xbox consoles. Stupid Microsoft.

Bungie didn't have to continue the Halo franchise. 343 could do that. Bungie could produce other franchises, like Destiny. From a business stand point, releasing Bungie was a pretty stupid move by Microsoft. It would be like Sony releasing Naughty Dog and ...
