Didn't they also say they weren't going to bring the extra content from the PC version to consoles? Then, they brought the PC extras to consoles.
Herzog Zwei
To me, this game is the perfect rental. Excellent to play through once, but after that, I'm not really interested in playing it anymore.
X-Com for 15 bucks?! Whoa!
HarryMason - that didn't work for Resident Evil 6!
I have 2 launch PS3s. Both are on and played almost on a daily basis (one by me, and one by my kids), and mine are still going strong. They even play PS2 games!
Some kid will get a broken PS3 because of you. So selfish.
I've played and beaten more than 250 disk-based games this generation, and Spec Ops the Line was the only one that stood out to me as something that was moving the gaming industry forward. I was reading about this game for weeks after the credit rolled.
I'm getting it for my daughter, who loved Epic Yarn.
Half-life 2 is a great game, but there are soooo many games I'd rather play than it, and I'm not even talking new, sophisticated games.
I'd rather play most Zelda games. Pixel Junk Monsters. Any of the Metal Gear Solid games. Uncharted. Halo 1. The list goes on.
I know it's just opinion, but Half-life 2 had some of the slowest, dullest moments for me as a gamer. Any game that is supposed to be "the best ever" or even "really goo...
I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see the value of this game to steadily rise over time - especially a factory sealed one. $400 today. $1000 (or so) a year from now.
I agree with every last word you wrote here.
I already had it pre-ordered months ago at $60. But I haven't seen a definitive "and cross buy still applies."
But agree - great news. People would might have passed on it will get to experience a AAA game.
This topic title is somewhat misleading. Put up for hit bait. Could have easily been something like "Kickstarter for new Vita game"
That's a great list!
I'd add, in no particular order:
Unit 13
Mortal Kombat
Metal Gear Solid Collection
Little King Story
Assassin's Creed
Need for Speed
Sonic and Sega All Star Racing Transformed
For me, Vaas was scarier, and Jack was more entertaining. Though both shared in those elements to a degree (both had moments of humor and being scary).
Then there's no need to use the word "Xbox 360" in the title of the article. Given it's an Xbox 360 site, it's already a given that the games they list will be on the Xbox.
As is, it's misleading.
People haven't heard of these games because some of them aren't out yet.
On the other hand, I can recall when X-Com was the number 1 board for gamefaqs for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
Good to know. Definitely picking up trilogy, but was waiting to see which version to get. Thanks!
Princess Toadstool
I think you're missing the point of the list. It says "most important" - not "best." Without the number 1 and 2 games on this list, for example, we wouldn't even have video games. And can you really argue Super Mario Brothers, Doom, and Zelda being up there?
