yup this game is going to be awesome. Its the first mmorpg in which you have to actually aim spells and melee attacks to cause damage. And enemies can actually dodge spells which is a first for the mmorpg genre
yes
Don't insult Valve by calling this just 'support'....this is madness:P:P
hmm acc to vgchartz 1 million on 360, arnd 300,000 on ps3. So that leaves arnd 700,000 on pc. If i remember correctly npd had released retails sales numbers which stated only 17,000 copies sold on pc. So either npd got their numbers horribly wrong, or digital sales are horribly underestimated
plus i hope ppl do realise that the bulk of pc sales come from europe. Bioshock which was touted as a failure on the PC sold more than 1 million copies. Most of those sales came from EU.
weren't pc sales arnd 6% of total sales? Hmm probabyly cause its the top selling game on steam too
I agree the graphics are not mindblowing but they are good no doubt about it. Like when you go to retrieve the Urn of sacred ashes the art style of the entire place is just fabulous. I wasn't comparing it to DS and i agree that DS has better graphics and better animations
And the last time i checked(which was roughly 2 mins back) DA has a metacritic rating of 91% and demon souls has 89%
Its not always about bringing something new to the table. HL and HL2 did not bring anything new to the table but what they did they got it right. Don't get me wrong DS is a great game and a big step ahead in the way of innovation. But DA just gets it right with the story the characters and the micromanagement which is deep as hell. If you tend towards action Rpg's then look no further than DS. But if you love the classic role playing experience - playing through an epic story where your decis...
Why are so many ppl cribbing about this i just don't understand. I have a ps3 as well as a pc. I love demon souls. It as an absolute treat to play and i have skipped many meals just to get my a$$ kicked again and again in the game. It is innovative...no doubt about it. But Dragon age is one of the deepest stories ever told. Every place you visit in the game has a lot of backstory to it all of which can be experienced through the origin stories. And these little stories are so immersive they c...
ubisoft confirmed its coming to the PC too
A multiplatform game on PC cant beat a PS3 exclusive BECAUSE the devs develop the graphics such that they can get the most out of the console and then max out the same effects on the pc buy upping the ante in terms of resolution. If you pit a PC exclusive like crysis for example then there is no competition. That game kills KZ2. Mebbe not UC2 but then it was developed 3 years back which says a lot about how much the pc is ahead in the graphics department. Its the same as when DOOM 3, HL2 and ...
The sad thing is i got both l4d2 and DA:O 2 days before the deals started. Dunno if they had given prior notice about the deals. Bah gotta learn to wait. They keep throwing these awesome discounts every now and then.
i doubt Valve ever releases their steam sales numbers. How did you get info about the sales then?
Its very simple dude. There are tutorials all over the net on how to build an inexpensive rig that can play most games. Buy a 9800 and a high end core 2 duo which is very cheap these days and you're good to go.
For me it has to be either Dragon age origins or Batman. Those 2 games are almost killing my career:p
well it is kinda struggling outside the US. But still it has sold 600,000 copies in its first week out of which almost 550,000 are US sales. So, as a whole, its far from a title that is struggling. And this is excluding PC retail and, more importantly, steam sales.
^^No ways man. Tf2 has got around 97 updates since launch. They're supporting l4d even after l4d2 came out. They're even releasing hl2 updates. They know how to keep their customers loyal to them. And even though its more cause of the potential for better sales, still they're better at this than most companies out there
Nowhere in the article does it say its a pc exclusive. But if it is thats quite a risk, but it will sell no doubt about it
You people just don't want to believe its a bad game. This guy has played it. What if it is not that good. You people just cannot dismiss that possibility
