its impossible that sales stand at just 1.5 million. The preorder numbers for america alone were more than 850,000 at RETAIL. I'm guessing these are the combined numbers for america and europe at reatail. They haven't accounted for sales in Korea and the digital sales worldwide
thats awesome. I'm guessing 3 million copies sold on day 1 including sales from Korea
npd said that digital download account for nearly 50% of pc game sales. That says a lot. And Pc is not dying. Its just that there are not as many games to appeal to the new wave of gamers. And the console culture is spreading fast. Today you find consoles in a lot of homes in america. We want what we see and these days kids get to see a lot of consoles. But little do they know how much the pc rules.
Starcraft is considered to be one of the best games ever, and not just in the strategy genre. And all the previews from various sites have pointed towards the sequel living up to or even surpassing the high standards set by the first game. And the game is developed by Blizzard, one of the best developers out there today. Just that it is being published by Activision. And it not being on Steam does not matter. My point being, there is no reason not to get this game.
If we can like a movie like AVATAR which tends to become anti-human in the end, then playing as a terrorist should also be perfectly acceptable, as long as its for the sake of fun. :p
hmm according to Vgchartz 700,000 preorder's in the US alone. IMO it will very well achieve that and then some.
NA preorders alone are over 600,000. It will probably sell 1 million copies in america alone. My bet is 3 million copies at launch which equal around 180 million. So they'll probably see a profit in the very first week
its not about sales...its the games they want to play the most. Fallout 3 was one of the best games out there when it was released. So obviously ppl will be dying to play its follow up. Same goes for Civilization 5. It all basically depends on the type of game you want to play
Left 4 Dead and Crysis should switch places.
Civilization 5 and Starcraft 2 should switch places. And its just an opinion people. Maybe IGN isn't waiting for LBP2. Their loss :p
Starcraft 2 is gonna sell big. Probably 3-4 million in its first week :p
Minato is one of the coolest characters in Naruto. This is going to be epic
ohk while i agree that it is not worth jumping the wagon on this right now, i can't help but be intrigued by the technology that goes into it. They have rewritten entire networking algorithms to get this working, and apart from the image quality and the minor lag they have been mostly successful. The coding that goes into such technology is fu%$ing insane. And as an aspiring programmer i can say that its way way ahead of its time. This is really the future of gaming. But it will take a lo...
that would never work on consoles cause of the royalties the devs will have to pay to MS and Sony
MS getting micro-soft with justin beiber lol
To the people going to hell and back about ps3 exclusives and pc being devoid of good games....the ps3 has sony backing it and developing and producing games for it. The 360 has microsoft backing it up. The pc has survived without such backing for 20 years, more than any console. And it has never being devoid of games. Even at this years E3 there were so many games which will grace the pc. It doesn't matter if they are multiplat. As long as you get to enjoy a game it doesn't matter wh...
I'd make Kotick the janitor of Activision tomorrow if i could
Sadly for them theres another game called TERA which plans to reinvent the MMO genre. So they're gonna have some stiff competition at launch
Crysis was amazing! And its not just the graphics that make this game awesome. Its the openness. Its no GTA, but the fact that you can start and end most of the missions any way you like makes it really flexible and gives you a lot of options. Maybe people didn't like it cause there weren't many set pieces. People just love set pieces. Well there were a few, and they were mostly awesome. And the nanosuit was awesome. I really liked how you could use only one type of superhuman ability...
I don't get it. The PC version did sell well. Still they're axing features from it. Ok the console versions might have sold more. But that does not mean that the PC version sold so bad so as to warrant such treatment. This makes me sad. Bioware is the last company i wanted to lose respect for :(
