Better not comment about Game of the year. Its going to be very tight this time. Firstly, theres portal 2 sitting at the top. And whatever you say, i think it is going to be difficult to dislodge it from that spot. Then theres my personal fav for this year the witcher 2. Plus the king of rpgs is coming this year. Also the king of multiplayer shooters is coming this year. We also have modern warfare 3. And we also have the king of superhero games. Mass effect 3. Rage. Damn its going to be one ...
If diablo 3 was coming out this year then i don't know it would have been very tight. But otherwise, i don't think any game has the selling power and the following like gears has. But i do believe that Star Wars The old republic is going to get huge initial numbers but still not at the same level as gears

This always happens when theres a game you're looking forward to gets a slightly negative review. I would say play the game, form your own solid opinions, then diss the reviewer all you want if his review truly isnt an indicator of the greatness of the game. Making 9+ assumptions without playing the game makes your opinions worthless. The same thing happened with me when destructoid gave The witcher 2 a 6. I don't know how bad the pc sales were to justify this but judging from the support its been getting from the pc community, i think it sold quite a lot of copies. But only bethesda know better. But its been proven time and again that developing first for the pc always yields a better game.
