The hell with the split for a minute...RE 5 shipped 4 MILLION COPIES? Thats huge, and right after Capcom debuted SF4 not too long ago.
If anyone doubts that this is Capcom's year, they arent paying close enough attention.
Now on to the split...
Great numbers for both systems. Obviously, its a win for MS; outselling Sony on a huge franchise that started with PS is a big symbolic win as well. Not to mention that the RE franchise is Sony-related, being t...
You know, I also heard that Castle Crashers is impossible on the PS3.
Really people? How many straws can people grasp at?
Im not quite sure whats funnier...how ridiculous this whole article is, or the fact that the fangirls in here dont even know why they're getting upset.
The whole article is just a love letter to Sony. The whole thing is meant to have a sarcastic tone, a wink of the eye if you will. Too bad its not only bs, but a bad joke as well.
@ above
- Thanks for the great advice concerning the Sony reciever. Maybe its so hard to find because they are bringing out something new to phase it out. Much appreciated.

Actually, Pioneer IS getting their displays supplied by Panasonic...

Id much rather boot up GTA with some friends and talk crap to each other. At least I can listen to some tunes, shoot some people, or just cruise around Liberty City.
That or Home?
Why do people come in here just to say BS? Its no secret to anyone out there that the 360 isnt the star in Japan. But to completely ignore the fact that they have already doubled the previous console's numbers? Do they mean nothing?
So in that case, what in the hell are Sony's PS3 numbers telling you compared to the PS2? Or that same question but applied to the US, the biggest market in the world?
I doubt you wanna comment on that.
AOC is one of the biggest LCD panel makers in the world, supplying many of the major brands. I have the Envision 32" LCD in the bedroom, which is a name brand of AOC, which sports slightly better contrast ratio than the model you have (but they are nearly identical).
Though its only 720p (actually, its 768p...lol) its picture rivals that of my roomie's 32" Bravia XBR 1080p, which cost twice as much. And it looks excellent hooked up to my Macbook Pro via VGA.
...
I also noticed that. For the PS3, you have to uncheck 720P to force it. But since there is no hardware scaler in the PS3, I prefer to let it render native and let my TV do the scaling to 1080P.
With the 360, I just let it do the upscaling, since I dont notice any difference performance wise.
For my money its Plasma all day. For me, I love the inky blacks and no motion lag; I have the Sammy PN50A550, which sports 30,000:1 contrast ratio (1,000,000:1 dynamic), and is the #1 rated TV on Consumer Reports for Plasmas at that size.
But pretty much any newer Plasma/LCD will do the trick quite well.
And for the money, Samsung is the best. Panasonic and Pioneer (though they no longer make their own plasma panels; they are now supplied by Panasonic) are also gre...
No.
Extended answer?
See post 13.
And this is gonna run at 60fps? Just whoa...
So now COD 4 has inferior GFX according to a bunch of people here. Seems to me everybody just glosses over the fact that COD 2-5 all run at a rock-solid 60fps and sport some pretty nice visuals.
Now to see what IW can do with this new one.
And for my money, CoD:WaW is a great looking game. The opening level especially is a looker that grabs you immediately. And the flamethrower is also pretty cool.
Im definitely not complaining; like I said I personally dont care.
But with the current environmet, a game called "KILLZONE" is an easy target.
I think its all BS; if a game is rated MA, then its MA. Same for movies.
But when youre talking about ads in public, especially close to schools, things can get a bit murky.
Just looking at ads since I was a kid...I remember Joe Camel and the Marlboro Man everywhere (though this CA in the article...
I thought. The imagery is pretty hardcore, but its probably the name more than anything. "KILLZONE" doesnt really leave much to the imagination, nor does it help the constant barrage of crap coming out of DC against vid games.
Personally I dont really care, but I dont think those should necessarily be right next to schools either, so I understand the backlash.
those are early shots because they look like they came from a PSP (no offense to my PSP)
I believe you can stream without the hard drive, not sure really. Of course you would need the HDD for the other functions. But youre talking about a $200 SKU, which is primarily bought for/by people who most likely have no use for those features, and therefore shouldnt have to pay for the potential to do so.
And if you wanted to, the HDD is always an option as an add-on. And MS was (they still may be, not sure) offering refurb 20GB drives with 3 months free of LIVE for $20 to...
The 360 has LIVE, Media Center, and Netflix. 360 can also play Divx, AVI, mp4, etc. Did I miss something?
And I wont be surprised if Sony comes into the fold soon on LIVE. They already have music on there (Sony BMG) and have content on Netflix, after that little fiasco.
How is this at all news? There is no mention of any specific title.
And its already known that while ODST is obviously coming soon, the Peter Jackson-produced Halo Chronicles is currently in development.
Cant wait for ODST...isnt funny that its always cool to give Halo crap about hype and this and that...but how many gameplay vids of ODST have you seen?
I like that MS/Bungie know how to keep a good secret and just sprinkle in little hints and tidbits he...
