It almost sounds like you are under the impression this article is bashing them, when its rather just showing how its sad that these features have become so uncommon from other developers. If anyhting, its praising Gearbox for at least having these 'basic' features which some developers decide to not even bother with.
I agree. I would have no issue paying for the extra content, but I guess the money they will be making by releasing it on console will more than make up for their development time.
"Skyrim on PS3 speaks numbers on Bethesda's *development process* "
Actually, it just speaks numbers about the PS3 to be honest.
Hahaha, anal.
@Arnagrim
GTA IV had a 9 digit budget.
As did Shenmue back in 1999 (which was significantly more for the time). Sega realized if the actually finished the story of Shenmue (it was originally going to be one single game), it would require every single person who owned a Dreamcast to buy 2 copies of the game to make money on it, so they cut thier losses, and released the unfinished story as 2 seperate games. Would love to have finished it though :(

Its even worse in Australia dude, we dont get half the things the US Dashboard does :(
Your bet would be well placed, as this is defiantely a HD of the Dreamcast title. And why's that a sad thing? This game was very popular, and very good.
Actually, yes :) I brought the MGS HD Collection on release day as I never played through the games the first time around and still havent gotten around to it.
If you knew you were afraid of spending so many hours in the game, why would you have paid for it on launch to simply not play it?
To play games on thier console - an experince unmatched.
"cheering more than a cheesy black people inspirational movie"
Possibly the best thing ive ever read on this site!
All those games are kind of underwhleming in terms of emotion. Sure, the stories are there and all good, but I think most people only get emotionally attached to believable looking characters (realistic graphically). Hence why the likes of Mass Effect and Heavy Rain are often cited as getting some of the most emotional responses in gaming. You should try more western games.
"Selling more than 1.5 million copies worldwide on the PC alone -- not including the 4.5-5 million copies pirated"
And THAT, people, is why CD Projekt Red are releasing the game on a console.
No, its actually Battlefield 3.
Oh no, im not saying I dont believe you or anything. I was just wondering where you are from, in case I am able to import it from there and save myself waiting till next month to play it.
I have played the Mass Effect games up to this point.
Im a journalist though, so upon weighing up my opinions, I do agree that the multiplayer should have been cut. It is actually quite very good, and very well designed, but completely and utterly unnecessary for the game.
I do disagree with your opinion on the ending though. As a man who loves and respects storytelling and a good tale, I absolutely loved the Mass Effect 3 ending. I understand some people wan...
Where is the game out? Doesnt come out will next month here :(
Cool man, which game developer do you work for?
And 3 million respct the developers and trust that the people who actually made the game, wrote the story and created the characters and universe know what they are doing.
Yeah same here, I think both will be great in thier own rights. This new Metal Gear looks pretty full on with the violence though, more so than any game in the game series. Hope it plays as good as it looks!
