For every person that's bought a second system due to RROD how many people have stayed away completely? I know I haven't bought a 360 due in large part to quality control problems.
I think people who claim faulty hardware sells more systems are out of their minds.
It's not ideal to compare review scores across consoles, but I think it's appropriate in this case.
Looking at Metacritic there are 24 games for the 360 not available on the PS3 with a combined review score of 85 or above. The PS3 has only five games with a score of 85 or above that are not available on the 360.
Everybody likes different games, and if you like PS3 games better that's great. It's impossible to ignore the fact that there are some quality games on the ...
I know a lot of people are excited about MGS4, but I'm a little uncertain why everybody thinks its going to be a mega-seller. Metal Gear Solid 2: SOL (the best selling Metal Gear Solid game on the system) sold 5.56M copies on PS2, and there were about 70% more PS2 systems on the market at launch than there currently are PS3 systems.
MGS4 will undoubtedly sell millions, but I'm not sure it will live up to some people's expectations.
"I made that statement based on the the last time I saw the NPD data (November 07)"
Perhaps if the only information you have is US sales data that is months old, you shouldn't try and pass it off as current worldwide info? Take some pride in what you post.
"Either way, 2.5M is still bad when you look at the Wii's user base."
~3M (it's proably sold at least another half million in January) sales and rapidly increasing based on c...
Do you people just make numbers up? NPD data shows Super Mario Galaxy sold over 2.5 million copies in the US through December. It's sold over 5 million copies in less than three months worldwide. The only 360 game to sell more is Halo 3 (out two months longer) and nothing on the PS3 comes close.

VGChartz worldwide:
Worldwide the PS3 is *barely* outselling the 360, unless you're somehow claiming the US isn't part of the world.
I've been hoping this game would come to the Wii, it seems like a perfect fit. Here's to hoping the rumor is true!
That'd be great if that worldwide attach rate for the Wii is correct, but I don't think that can be right. The last NPD attach rate info I showed had the Wii at 3.86. Furthermore I only add up about 83 million games sold. I don't see how it can be 5.6.

3rd party Wii software has outsold 3rd party PS3 software 31 to 23 million, and sold nearly as many copies as all PS3 software combined, yet nobody complains about how 3rd party PS3 software sells. I just don't get it.
Every time I say this people disagree with me--I guess they don't believe me. Feel free to add up the numbers yourself, though.
Exercise bike + Wii Sports: Boxing = A great cardio workout for me.
The reviews for this game are all over the map. It's essentially a non-game, though, so so I'm not surprised. It must be pretty good at what it is to be receiving any good scores from the gaming media.
"everyone is a critic in the media."
Spoken like a true critic. ;)
"Nintendo abandoned us"
Can you blame them? How well has the average hardcore gamer supported Nintendo over the past 10 years? Hardcore games continue to sell poorly on Nintendo systems, so it only makes sense to concentrate their efforts on the casual market where Nintendo has had a great deal of success.
Using VGChartz data (if you have a better source for worldwide data let me know) the Wii has 16 million+ sellers while the PS3 has six. If you look only at third party titles the Wii has five and the PS3 has four.
If you're trying to decide between 720p and 1080p TVs, keep in mind at a certain distance from a given sized TV you will not be able to tell the difference. In other words to determine whether a higher resolution set is worthwhile you must consider both SIZE and VIEWING DISTANCE.
There is some disagreement over exactly at what measurements a given resolution becomes worthwhile, but I find this chart to be extremely valuable:

Why are people disagreeing with the above post? It *IS* a list of only Nintendo titles. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Guitar Hero III, Resident Evil 4, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and Red Steel have all sold over a million copies as well.
