I'm not looking to be amazed by everyday things, in the virtual world.
it would have to be the level of depth and continuity that I'm experiencing now.
they're a decade away from that,
at least. (And that's conservatively)

It's not downplaying, simply not interested.
and define "sell well"
anywhere near as well as it could have sold on consoles? no.
anywhere near as well as it could sell without VR? no.
We'll see, it's just been released. if it hits 10 million there you go, the people that are looking for the system seller/equivalent after playing this, there isn't going to be a ton of things for them to continually play on VR.
What is the...

All this hype about valve being back, that it's a continuation or a revisiting of Half Life, just falls deaf on the ears of people that aren't interested in VR,
and don't want to make that investment just for this.
there's a really huge (much larger) audience that doesn't have VR, that would have loved to have had this game.
It's going to sell a tiny fraction of what it could have, and satiated an audience that's been clamoring for some...

If They ever did decide to finish it,
and make it part of a remaster,
think of the money they could make.
One of the things I think that made Xbox the original console such a player was the fact that it got doom 3 and half life 2, which was unheard of for any other console...
It certainly made me a believer of what was possible,
and I went on to play both games,
two or three more times.
(Updated different versions of them)

I honestly think they may have put themselves in a position(Activision) where they don't have great sales of the next Call of duty game,
because of this...
this in the return to basic boots on the ground combat that the last installment gave everybody,
that they've been clamoring for,
I don't see what they're going to do in the next game that's going to warrant people wanting it.

as great as it sounds, initially.
my concern is where you going to go with that (story-wise) considering where they left big boss and snake...
Will it be snakes clone... 🤔

How about both ?

If Mass effect isn't number one on my list, (Trilogy) it's certainly in the top three

Shoddily done and I will agree with you, but a remake with all the current-gen bells and whistles, plus a whole new complete list of achievements/ trophies?
I'm on board.
if it's a good game, gives you every reason to revisit something that was a blast to play.
I redid thief (to each their own) and the first tomb raider (reboot) and was thrilled playing through both.
I've got a couple of others (sniper elite 3 was a blast both times around) ...

Would love to see it on Xbox

People forget that Phil started as an overseer of the creative process for Microsoft studios.
He knows who's doing what,
he knew who he could get, and understands how the process goes. so many people have criticized him for killing games,
if I don't think a game is going to be profitable and turn out the way it's supposed to, I'd kill it too.

everybody wants to jump up and down about scalebound.
that's the big thorn in ...

they're also a lot like valve because they're always innovating,
something PlayStation doesn't do. they get nudged, forced and dragged into the future.
social gaming and online wasn't such an issue until It got forced by Xbox.
backwards compatibility/ cross-play we're not issues,
till they got forced because of what Xbox was doing.

And next as much as We are resisting it, (because it's being done like shit) bei...

I would settle for half Life Alex on consoles,
no reason why they can't do that,
They've already got a game and it wouldn't take them long to Port it at all.
Would I love to see Half-Life 3?
who wouldn't 🤗
but right now I I see this is a definite possibility again they have a completed game the only difference is it's exclusive to VR.
They've already talked about the development,
how they used Half-...

I think they should give it a rest,
as do a hell of a lot of other people.

only corporate executives driving this shit, think they need to make an iteration,
every.
single.
year.
and then sit around and wonder why it doesn't catch fire, every single time.
enough with it already.

"It wasn't for the world,
it was for developers"... ?!
well then why the hell reveal it this way?
they're not in control?
They're not concerned with public perception with the new console coming out?
or maybe they just wanted to do the basics first, and put it in the lap of the guy that designed it...
Technically a weaker unit, and out of the gate not the capabilities in one area that people were hoping for... ...

they're taking their time,
saying as little as possible and using the "slow-trickle" method...
all of these things are indicative of bad news they don't want to reveal...

but this is a company you had to beg for years to be able to change your psn ID. (gamertag)
and when they finally did it?
it was half-assed, required a work around and wasn't complete...

Part of me says that should be the case, as well.
maybe it's something they're still working on/ getting together,
and it's something that's going to be brought out further down the road.
but the other part of me says they've had eight years to do anything at all, as far as the PS3,
and that's where the big gap is,
with a lot of people:
they want the PS3 games.
PS2 ones and PS One games not so much, b...

Well I think it would have suited them better to have someone else present as well, to talk about the gaming side as far as giving some answers about backwards compatibility,
is it only going to be the PS4?
if so go ahead and say it, let your people know ahead of time.
they've got all the momentum in the world behind them, (100 million units plus)
If you're not going to have PS3 PS2 PS1 it be a good time to bring it up,
Maybe they're...

I really hope this Sparks interest and it comes to Xbox, we're the only console that never got an HD version of this,
it was only available on the original Xbox. God I would love to play this game again.
Day one purchase/pre-order/pay extra for all content// Christ just take my money already.. 🙏

I concur,
and that's me exactly.
when I finally got my first Xbox one I paid about $164 a year and a half after it came out,
Upgraded to the s the big weekend sale not too long after that,
and got that for $185 I've had that ever since.
This last console generation was very very cost-friendly to me,
I've been extremely lucky and now I have such a huge backlog I'm in absolutely no hurry to jump into the next gen.
