As much as I have no confidence in a new game being made in either respect,
I'll just go ahead and throw on the speculation pile, and say that because of the same feelings everyone else here seems to have, I have no confidence that dice could make a sequel to those two games and make a good one....
and let's go ahead and do a remaster but none of it's going to happen, so it's Moot...
I'm not a switch fan,
but even though it won't happen this year, you're going to see a revised version of that with much more power.
the overall flexibility of the system is kind of dictating that,
I believe there isn't anything quite like it ,they've got tons of support and being able to build on it, and stay with the handheld/docked hybrid idea, it's only a smart move on their part...
you're going to see at least one re...
Exactly...
No need to be in a hurry.
just let the games build, let them work all the little kinks out....a year, year-and-a-half,
Price will come down... Reasonable enough library built to justify switching over... I've got over a hundred games I haven't touched, it's insane, I have plenty to bide me over.
Never been an early adopter of Games or systems,
it just doesn't make sense.
You're not going to see 8K this generation, hence the reference to "ceiling"
You might see things that will graphically with Ray tracing and a few bells and whistles look somewhat better, but it's not going to be like the jump from HD the 4K, so they should(I think) prioritize performance.
I feel it's probably the one big exception and I played a bit of destiny and I thought that was actually quite good but this game bypassed a lot of the bullshit, plus the moment-to-moment combat encounters, It would keep me playing it, and I have to say I think the AI program in it is better than a lot of games I've seen over many years, they'll spread/ suppress you, try to trap you into a fixed position and eliminate you, you can get into an open fire fight on the street and othe...
I'm one of those people that was just really angry and crushed when the first division came out in the state that it did and that it really in single player wasn't playable far too many difficulties and then I'm finally putting it together after a year going back in playing at finishing it and was really astounded by how much fun it was.
Fast-forwarding, when I was finishing the game still had about a good week or two play left on it,
is when division 2 came out...
I really think 10-15 years from now, someone who's being interviewed for developing something really revolutionary and different, will cite this game as something they picked up and literally gave them the tools to explore all of the ideas that would come to fruition later...
what's really piqued my interest,
is people that are in the onset,
the early stages of learning game development, that will take this game and literally do things that are just incredible.
you know it's coming, and that's going to be really fun to watch 😱
So many games promise and fall short on new inventive gameplay styles and meaningful resonating experiences, blah blah blah...
And then somebody does something like this.
whether it took them 7 years or even 10 years this is the kind of experience that elevates gaming and shows just how limitless the possibilities can be, literally leaving it up to you.
I'm not a PlayStation fan, I don't own their system although my son keeps one in the next room and rarely...
my only counterpoint is that loot shooters that are actually really good I'm a huge fan of the division,
I'm playing the division 2 constantly,
It just got another big drop and another one is incoming.
These games are popular because of the upgrades to the world instead of buying a whole new game, and keeping you engaged and playing in something you enjoy.
now I'm all for them releasing a complete package, but it not being but online service...
I have to agree with what is being posted by 90% of the people here.
I think graphically we really have in a sense, hit a ceiling.
a lot of television sets and systems do upscaling to the point where the difference in native 4K is [almost] negligible, but performance is really the forefront of improvement, and the standard needs to be raised and solidified.
I think 60 frames per second should be the benchmark for everybody.
The power is going to exist to...
Your argument is nonsensical and invalid, and your comparisons to last generation don't hold up, not even remotely, because this isn't that Generation now, is it ?
Notwithstanding that I played, I can think of five different titles on the 360, and then played the upgraded versions of them on the Xbox One and none of the comparisons that you've made whatsoever, were present.
THIEF / TOMB RAIDER (reboot) being just two games that come to mind.
Be Anti-Xbox...
I just get tired of hearing how great of a developer they are, yet they're constantly in financial trouble, why is that?
Truth is their games just don't sell that well, even on the platforms they are on...
Again, a statement I agree with I don't have any love for EA, but they're not going anywhere,
so hating on them and simply being negative isn't going to turn things around, and that's what's best,
some people just want to hate and bitch, I don't.
I want to see practices change,
I want to see better games, I want to see things go full cycle and come back around to being better products and experiences that people want to see,
