between Windows and Linux. The whole point of Linux being open source is that you don't have to sit there and say, man, I wish there was a version of the OS that was customized for the kind of thing I want to do. You have flavors for science related users, graphics users etc etc. That's why there isn't just ONE flavor of Linux.
Come on, you knew that. You're just trying to stir now.
Looking at the selection of age-appropriate games out on the 3 systems, I'd say that 8 year old should be getting a Wii, not a 360 and not a PS3.
The 360 and PS3 are aimed at people much older and more mature than 8 year olds, with the PS3 (and Elite to a lesser degree) aimed at A/V enthusiasts too.
You're right, that camera of yours really is crap.
I never said you didn't like GT.
I pointed out that some of us enjoy having the ability to drive the same car over different years to compare them and see how they became better over their lifespan.
I agree that GTHD id not a complete game, but I was speaking more from the franchise's point of view and what their goal is with the GT series.
Now, let's go have a beer together, shall we?
but it's cheaper!
there is no real trade-in. You get store credit, but still have to pay the full price for the Elite.
remind anyone else of the TOCA series?
The graphics look good, but I can't help feeling that the cars handle a little, well, strange. Like the Subie on the wet track...the tail's hanging out around the turns, but the damn thing doesn't break traction completely. It's almost as if the handling is a little more arcady than I expected.
downloading movies is, how long will it take to download gigs and gigs in order to ensure you get the same experience as you would had you bought the physical disc? I just don't see downloading ever replacing physical discs until there is some revolution in the infrastructure.
Every single game has some form of physics built in.
Tell me this, if the MS devs were trying to emulate REALISTIC physics, why do you think they enable you to fly hundreds of feet through the air and land with with the grace of a gymnast? Can you do that in real life?
Now, as far as the effects of mud/terrain, the background visuals etc, they might have tried to be more realistic. Now Dirt on the other hand is trying to be as close to real life as possible, just like GT and Fo...
GT=sim, Forza=sim
Dirt=sim, MS=not sim.
the original date?
Dude, seriously. MS devs tried to implement real physics? You're on drugs, my friend. Have you even played it? Didn't think so. I love MS specifically because it is NOT realistic. It's a damn arcade style game, not a sim. Jesus, when will you get that through your thick skull? How many times have you been told?
Oh snap, wait. You DO know Halo isn't real, right?
What exactly do you mean when you say GT has no physics?
Your other comment about GT having lame cars just proves what Maddens said earlier - there is a big difference between you and someone who really loves cars. Yes, it IS an experience to drive around in an 80's Skyline and compare that to the latest version. It's about the CARS and the driving experience, NOT about racing (only) and scores.
Oh, and if GT is just one car on the track, I wonder where those c...
You see "PS2" in his post and you assume he's a uhm...fanboy?
He even hinted that the 360 is for mature gamers - did you read that far?
You need to chill, or else you're going to get the snot beaten out of you a LOT in life.
Wasn't it in Italy where the PS3 went on sale to the public a few days earlier than it was supposed to?
Of course, that's not something he could really control, but I guess he's ultimately responsible for the fiasco there. That might be why he is "stepping down".
It's also available on HD-DVD.
A "bad news" article on MS, and Marty-boy has to drag Sony and the PS3 into it.
Back on topic...whether MS is making a profit on the 360 yet is up in the air (I haven't seen them say anything yet), but it'll take a long time for them (or anyone else) to make back the money that goes into the R&D, manufacturing etc.
Why is it ALWAYS necessary to bring up Sony and/or the PS3 when there's an article that's even SLIGHTLY negative toward MS and the 360?
Why can't people like Marty-boy and POG just shut the hell up and not drag Sony into the story? This is an article about MS.
If you want to bring Sony into this, go find an article on them channel stuffing (I'm sure there's something out there).
Geeze, you guys drive me up a fking wall!
I'd say this is a non-issue.
That's the 360 slogan!
You need to take it easy...someone's going to find you dead behind your keyboard...heart attack / stroke.
You take this sh!t way too seriously. You made your choice in console purchase, what do you care what others have to say about MS and the 360?
The fact of the matter is MS is over charging. Tell me, how much have you put into the 360 (hardware only, not games)?
**EDIT**
Show me where I "hate" - that's a juvenil...
