PS Now is a server room full of hardware that can be upgraded on demand. The possibilities are limitless. The question is a matter of when, not if.
considering that most pc hardware is below 7870 standards, this should be a non issue.
Unless you have both consoles, or are also a pc gamer then you will probably not know the difference as last gen never graduated over 720p. They probably just dont know the difference.
ps4 customers expect the new, from their new hardware. Not something you can get on the old. It is annoying, nothing more.

I suspect that the X1 was due out this year instead, would make more sense to release a. better gpu, b. more room on die for esram. Not to mention for Q4/2013, the 7870 is old tech.

PC Gaming rig is only going to last about 4 years. At that point you will need to upgrade the cpu, gpu, and possibly ram. But the PS4 will probably only go 5 years this time instead of 7. And if *VR takes off, could be less.

If it had a removable CPU/GPU slot for upgrade I'd be interested. Problem with mobile hardware it is out dated every few months and not very powerful to begin.
